WHAT THIS ADD-ON SENDS
The add-on runs only on sites you have approved, one at a time, and on no others. It ships with permission for no video site at all; each one is a choice you make in its popup and can withdraw in the same place. On a site you have approved, when something plays, it sends:
- The address of the page. How we tell one show apart from another on a site, and what makes "you have answered this once already" possible.
- What the page says is playing — its title, and the season and episode if the page or the address carries them. Read from the page's own text and video element, nothing more.
- How far through it you are, and whether it is playing or paused, so a part-watched episode comes back where you left it.
- Your account token, so we know whose diary to write to. It is issued by us, to you, and is only ever sent to us.
That is the whole payload. The add-on contains no analytics and no third-party code: every request it makes goes to api.watchlogg.com. It does not read pages on sites you have not approved, does not collect what you type, click or search for, and does not follow you around the web.
WHAT WE NEVER DO
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile for anybody else. There is no advertising on watchlogg.
WHERE IT IS STORED
In the European Union — our database and servers run in the Netherlands.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can see, correct, export, restrict or delete everything we hold. Settings in the web app lets you download it all in one file, or delete the account outright, which removes it permanently. For anything else, write to hello@watchlogg.com.
