TimeKeeper is a Chrome extension that adds inline timezone conversions to webpages. This privacy policy explains what information TimeKeeper handles and how it is used.


TimeKeeper does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal information.

The extension works locally in your browser. It scans visible webpage text to detect date and time mentions, infer timezone context, and display timezone conversions inline on the page.


TimeKeeper may process the visible text of webpages you visit in order to identify:

• date and time mentions
• timezone abbreviations
• city or location context
• page metadata related to dates, locations, or article context

This processing happens locally in your browser.

TimeKeeper does not send webpage content, browsing history, detected times, or inferred locations to any external server.


TimeKeeper uses Chrome storage to save extension preferences, such as:

• target timezone
• source timezone fallback
• time format
• date format preference
• inline badge style
• accent color
• display options

These settings are stored by Chrome and used only to keep your TimeKeeper preferences consistent.


TimeKeeper does not share data with third parties.

TimeKeeper does not use analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels, remote logging, or telemetry.


TimeKeeper does not operate a backend server.

All detection and conversion logic runs locally in the browser.


TimeKeeper requests access to webpages so it can scan visible page text and add inline timezone conversions.

TimeKeeper requests storage access so it can save user preferences.


TimeKeeper is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.


This policy may be updated if TimeKeeper’s functionality changes. Any material changes will be reflected in the published privacy policy.
