- i have used this extension since 2019 i think and for many many years i was grateful for it. it helped me identify terfs especially on innocuous posts where they said feminist things i would theoretically agree with (e.g."men have historically been favored by patriarchal society and that's why we need affirmative action"). but i now see this extension being used vindictively against other trans people who just have different opinions, being used to hurt and isolate trans women, men and nb ppl who don't say exactly the right words in the right order. in the shinigami guidelines, even your out of touch granny who is saying accidentally transphobic stuff but still has the spirit is considered "not enough to mark as anti-trans", but people are being marked in red for saying they support both trans women's fight against transmisogyny and other trans ppl's fight against transphobia, if they are seen to be not explicitly saying the transmisogyny is worse. even if that is slightly transmisogynistic, how is that worse than out-of-touch granny? why does the extension mark as green even people who are being actively transphobic about trans men and nb people?
"all trans men deserve to die" is 1. not the same vent as "all men deserve to die" and 2. a transphobic thing to say! and there are people marked as trans friendly who say these things!
i wish the devs would make it consistent-- either no hate speech about any trans groups, and/or a little misguided venting/uniformed statements are okay.
i'm just tired of watching my favorite trans women creators get marked red for no reason - 5점 만점에 1점Mercurial Kara 님, 20시간 전this addon may have once been useful, but i can't recommend it at this point. there's far too many transmasc and intersex people who are marked as red for no reason and far too many transandrophobic and intersexist trans people marked as green who should be marked red for this to be worth using.
- Downloaded this to see if the discrimination that's been brought to my attention was as bad as it was described to me. I have a tumblr blog where I post about clouds shaped like animals and lo and behold I'm marked red, I don't know how to be more clear when I say I don't post or talk about anything besides clouds shaped like animals. The only thing related to the queer community on my blog is my bio where I have "transmasc it/they" writen so people know what to refer to me as... so yeah... it does more harm than good and it looks like I need to make a new pin post so I'm not auto blocked for, let me remind you, posting pictures of clouds shaped like animals and I guess being a trans man

Too many trans and intersex folks are flagged red and too many terfs are flagged green or completely ignored. It does more harm than good and spreads more hate than protection. Another review lever was right, you can't trust a colour coded hyperlink. You need to make decisions for yourself and this extension is not a tool to aid you with that

- Contrary to what people claim, I have never once seen a false red flag. You can easily investigate the account, and find something horribly transphobic, a lot of the accounts claiming to be false flags straight up believe that biological sex is an immutable reality. (Which is... bad. Regardless of if you're trans yourself.)
- SE works excellently. There is significant negativity surrounding it, primarily from transmisogynists uncomfortable with their bigotry being publicly declared. They consider hatred and discrimination acceptable as long as you couch it in progressive language, but that doesn't make it less disgusting.
If you're a transfeminine person, this extension will work excellently at pointing out anyone who would be weird about your existence. - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 18748246 님, 7일 전

- I have been using this extension for a couple years now as an easy way to detect transphobes (which is important for me to do since I am transmasculine and do not want to interact with these people at all) but lately I have been highly dissatisfied with how many transgender people are being flagged as transphobic for no reason. It is especially horrible towards trans men, intersex people, and those who do not fit into the gender binary, going against the whole point of this extension (detecting ALL transphobia, not just transmisogyny like the five star reviews for this extension claim this extension is only for). Please do better.

People of color, intersex individuals, and transgender individuals who don't fit nicely into the boy/girl binary (xenogenders, nonbinary folks, etc.) are mismarked more often. Binary transgender people (transwomen and transmen) who speak up publicly about abuse or discrimination that they suffer are also mismarked more. Basically, it does the opposite of what it claims. This app will intentionally mislead you about the views of other people.
The only nice thing I can say about Shinigami Eyes is, "At least it didn't install malware onto my computer." - This add on discriminates against intersex and half of the trans community which is the antithesis of its stated goal.
For instance there's a noticeable portion of flagged blogs on Tumblr that have a had to make a pinned post clarifying that, no they aren't a terf, they're trans men and/or intersex. That is grounds for alienation as far as the creator of this extension is concerned. Either you stand with every queer person or you are against every queer person, this author fails to grasp that simple concept.
You have to make your own decisions, you have to pay attention, you can't trust the color of a hyperlink to hold your hand and tell you who is safe and who isn't. - I know that queer people can still be transmisogynistic, and many of them are and deserve to be marked red. However, trans men, nonbinary people, and intersex people keep getting marked red left and right just for talking about their own experiences, even if they actively support trans women. This extension is not good anymore.
