Hostux.page replaces your new tab page: clock, weather, quotes, wallpapers, links and notes, with no account, no ads and no analytics.

• 12 or 24-hour clock, second time zone, greeting and focus timer.
• Weather for your city: rain within the hour, 24-hour chart, wind, UV, air quality and pollen.
• Wallpapers: freely licensed photos picked by Hostux for each time of day, or Wallhaven (safe for work only), Bing image of the day, NASA, your own images, a plain colour; automatic contrast.
• Quotes: Stoic thoughts (Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus), developer jokes, No as a Service refusals, French collections, or your own lines.
• Links in groups (drag and drop), shortcut bar, notes with checkboxes, search with the engine of your choice.
• Separate spaces (Home, Work…), export and import, optional sync between browsers with a code, end-to-end encrypted.
• Interface in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

Your settings, links and notes are saved in your browser; the optional sync encrypts them before anything is sent. Weather, wallpapers and quotes go through the Hostux server, which asks the providers on your behalf: they never see your IP address. In Firefox, your city and the site names of your links are only sent after you agree.
