Hand browser downloads over to the Fetchster macOS menu-bar app.

How it works

• Downloads started in the browser are handed to the Fetchster app on your Mac over native messaging — no save dialogs, no duplicate downloads.
• Right-click any link → Download with Fetchster (works for magnet: and .torrent links).
• If the Fetchster app isn't running, the browser downloads normally.

• It does not inject scripts into pages or read page content.
• It does not request access to cookies, history, or browsing activity.
• It only sends the download URL and the browser's User-Agent to the Fetchster app running on your own machine.

Permissions

• nativeMessaging — talk to the Fetchster app
• downloads — hand off and cancel browser downloads
• contextMenus — the "Download with Fetchster" right-click menu
• storage — remember the capture toggle
• notifications — confirm a download was added

No data leaves your computer. All processing happens locally between the extension and the Fetchster app on your Mac.
