SpicyChat QoL is designed to keep extension data local whenever possible.


Settings, preferences, saved lists, personas, filters, presets, and other QoL data are stored locally in the user's browser using browser extension storage.

SpicyChat QoL does not operate an analytics service and does not send extension usage data, saved lists, settings, or browsing activity to DragonScript servers.


DeepL translation is an optional feature and is disabled unless the user configures it.

When DeepL translation is used, SpicyChat QoL sends the user's DeepL API key directly to DeepL for API authentication.

The SpicyChat message text selected for translation is sent directly to DeepL. The extension may also send a limited amount of text from the immediately previous chat message as translation context.

This information is sent to DeepL solely to perform the requested translation. It is not sent to DragonScript.

DeepL API keys are excluded from SpicyChat QoL backups and diagnostic exports.

Users can disable the translation feature or revoke its Firefox permissions at any time.


SpicyChat QoL does not sell user data and does not include advertising or tracking provided by DragonScript.


Users who enable DeepL translation are also subject to DeepL's own privacy and data-handling policies.
