This Privacy Policy describes how the CRS Schedule Optimizer ("we," "us," or "the Extension") collects, uses, and handles your data.

1. Local Data Processing
   The CRS Schedule Optimizer is a fully local tool. It operates entirely within your browser to maximize privacy and efficiency.
2. No Telemetry: We do not track your usage, clicks, or scheduling habits.
3. No External Servers: Your academic data is never sent to, or processed by, third-party servers. All mathematical optimization occurs on your device.
4. Browser Storage
   To provide a fast experience, the Extension uses chrome.storage.local to cache data explicitly requested by you:
5. Course Catalog: Cached for 3 months to prevent excessive requests to the CRS endpoints.
6. Section Schedules: Cached for 2 hours to speed up re-rolling and conflict checking.
7. User Preferences: Your UI settings (e.g., Dark Mode) are saved to localStorage.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's extension data or manually forcing a catalog sync.

1. Communication with UP CRS
   The Extension makes direct fetch() requests to https://crs.upd.edu.ph/ exclusively to retrieve the public HTML of the class schedules you search for.
2. Changes
   We may update this policy occasionally to reflect new features. Changes will be posted within the Extension directory.
