AlphaVPN Browser Extension — Privacy Policy
WHAT THE EXTENSION SENDS
Account details. When you create an account or sign in, your email address and
password are sent to the AlphaVPN API to authenticate you. The extension stores
the resulting session token locally and sends it with later requests. Your
password is never stored on your device.
Browsing traffic. While you are connected, requests from this browser are routed
through the AlphaVPN exit server you selected. That server necessarily sees the
destinations you connect to, in the same way any proxy or VPN does. The
extension itself reads each request's hostname only to decide whether to send it
through the proxy or direct; it does not record, store, or transmit your
browsing history anywhere.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking
- No advertising or third-party scripts
- No remote code execution
- No selling or sharing of any data with third parties
- No reading or altering page content
WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Your session token, the current proxy credential, the selected location, and the
connection state. All of it lives in extension storage. Signing out clears it.
DELETING YOUR DATA
Disconnecting returns the proxy credential to the server, which deletes it.
Signing out clears local storage. To delete your account and its records
entirely, contact support at https://support.alphaxp.net/.
