SA_agent helps researchers evaluate and understand academic literature found through Google Scholar. Local journal-ranking tools are free to use, while optional AI generation uses credits from an SA_agent account.

JOURNAL RANKINGS AND SEARCH

• Display color-coded journal-ranking badges beside Google Scholar results.
• Search more than 35,000 bundled journals by title or ISSN without a network request.
• View available SJR, H-index, citation, JCR, CAS, CiteScore, indexing, and other bundled ranking fields.
• Choose which ranking indicators appear beside Scholar results.
• Import private journal-ranking lists from CSV, TSV, or JSON. Custom datasets remain on the user’s device.

AI PAPER SUMMARIES

• Generate a summary only when the user selects Summarize.
• Choose a word limit from 30 to 1,000 words and an Academic, Formal, or Casual tone.
• Regenerate or improve a summary and copy or download the result.
• Review estimated cost, model information, usage, and remaining SA_agent credits.
• When requested, SA_agent may use the Scholar snippet and limited extracted PDF text or article-page context.

ZOTERO LITERATURE REVIEWS

• Optionally connect a Zotero Web API account.
• Retrieve up to 50 top-level library items.
• Generate a structured literature review using APA, Chicago, MLA, or Harvard citation formatting.
• Zotero credentials are used only for requests to the Zotero API.

PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS

• Journal rankings, Journal Search, matching, and custom datasets operate locally.
• SA_agent does not collect a general browsing history or use advertising analytics.
• Paper content is sent to the SA_agent service only after the user explicitly requests AI generation.
• Optional Zotero credentials are sent only to api.zotero.org.
• All executable extension code is included in the package. No remote JavaScript or WebAssembly is downloaded or executed.
• Host access is limited to supported Google Scholar domains, swiphtgroup.com, and api.zotero.org.

SETUP

1. Install SA_agent and open its Options page.
2. Use the local journal-ranking features immediately, or enter an SA_agent extension token to enable AI generation.
3. Browse Google Scholar and use the ranking badges, Journal Search, summaries, or optional Zotero literature-review tools.
