Copy Link to Highlight makes it easy to turn any text selection on a webpage into a link you can share. When opened in browsers that support text fragments, the link scrolls directly to the selected text and highlights it, making it simple for others to find exactly what you want to share.
Features:
Right-click on highlighted text → “Copy link to highlight”
Generates a URL with a text fragment (#:~:text=)
Copies the link directly to your clipboard
Lightweight, fast, and privacy-friendly—does not collect any user data
Important for Firefox users:
By default, Firefox requires a special setting to display highlighted text. To enable it:
Type about:config in the Firefox address bar.
Click “Accept the Risk and Continue.”
Search for layout.css.scroll-anchoring-text-fragment.enabled.
Click the (+) on the right.
Default is true. If not, toggle it to true.
Even if the highlight is not shown, the link will still take users to the correct page location.
