I tried this add-on, but the icon for it never even showed up in my toolbar.

Not working with Firefox@Debian :-( Translations are refused, both for a page and for selections. Never met another plugin with so many positive reviews failing miserably.

Using https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/simple-translate instead.

It does not work now.When I click to translate ,it bring me to the google search home page.

This addon is a mess. It redirects my translation to Google HK and changes the laptop's preferred language from English to simple Chinese with no Chinese language pack installed. There are way better options available than this.

Google translate is awful as always and DeepL needs my credit card, no thanks.

absolute worst. option not available most the time. Screws up the navigation within the website.

This might be the worst translation extension I've ever used. Instead of translating the page it opens a completely new tab with a copy of the page and a gigantic toolbar on top. What are you supposed to do if the page is live? This makes absolutely no sense.
