What about after TB 58/60? Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

I love your addon. I use it every day!
Did you notice that TB will need a (partial) compatibility with webextension soon? (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/Add-ons_Guide_57). Will your addon be compatible? Thanks!

The "Send and archive" button is essential and could become part of the default Thunderbird installation.

Archive the sent message Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

Saving the original message is a great thing!

I would like to archive the sent message as well, no matter if it is a reply or a new message. There could be two buttons "Reply and Archive the original message" and "Send and Archive also the new message".

What do you think?

Great for Gmail and INBOX ZERO addicts! Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

As a Gmail user, and practicing the INBOX ZERO habit, I use this add-on a lot to archive all mail that I have read/replied.

Would be great to have a built-in shortcut for this feature (so no programming with Keyconfig etc. necessary). For example override Ctrl+Enter for Send+Archive, when it is available. Or use Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Enter.

To add a shortcut manually via keyconfig:
1. Download keyconfig, and install it through the add-ons panel: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=72994
2. Start writing a new message, and go to Tools\Keyconfig, +Add new a new key
3. Name: SendAndArchive
Command: goDoCommand('cmd_sendAndArchive')
Shortcut: Alt+Ctrl+Shift+Enter

Close, and that's it. You might need to restart Thunderbird.

Good add-on, but wrong approach Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

It does the job as stated. However, I think this add-on takes the wrong approach. Instead of "Send and Archive", it should be "Reply and Archive". As it is, users have two options to send; I'm with a previous reviewer who stated that they forget to use this button. Sometimes we wish to send (i.e. when we start a new thread), and sometimes we wish to send and archive (i.e. with replying).

With "Reply and Archive", this would link the archiving to the reply action. *Everytime* I reply, I wish to archive. Users could replace the reply action with this custom action in all cases.

Regarding keyboard shortcuts, I had a look here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension
I tried `goDoCommand('cmd_sendAndArchive')` and `cmd_sendAndArchive`, but neither worked for me.

Useful Add-on Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

I second the request for a keyboard shortcut. Also, it would be great if the entire thread could be archived on Send.

Sorry for the delay in replying to this! Having an option to archive the entire thread is a great idea, and I'll try to add this to version 2.0 (no promises on a release date, though).

EDIT: Version 2.0 is uploaded and just needs to go through review.

Nice Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

Great idea, should be Thunderbird default.
However, a keyboard shortcut would be great too. I always send by pressing ctrl+enter and forget about the "send and archive" button.

There is a Thunderbird setting for this Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

A per-account setting enables sent email to be immediately enclosed in whatever folder instead of default "Sent"
=> Account settings / Copies & Folders / "When a message is sent, aromatically put a copy in ..." (I'm translating from French layout). This is what I do for each of my accounts in order to have received and sent email all in their Account's Archive folder.

The statement is a bit ambiguous, at least in French, when stated "Put a copy of sent email". At first I thought it would be a copy of the email already in the Sent folder. In fact it means a (the) copy of the sent email itself. Hum... is that English correct ?!

The feature built into Thunderbird affects where the reply you composed is stored. This add-on affects where the original message (the one you're replying *to*) is stored. Hopefully that clarifies things a bit.

Great extension! Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

Simple and useful works just like Gmail's Send and archive. It should be included in Thunderbird by default.

Great little extension Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

Just what the doctor ordered. Great little extension for those who were constantly replying and archiving in two steps. Now do it in one step.
