Blend In 46.0t45.0
Blends in OS-related values in User-Agent HTTP request header & a number of JS properties, so that Firefox (Thunderbird) appears to sites visited as running on the OS being used the most in the world. Thunderbird can also be blended in as Firefox.

Windows 7(since 18.0t17.0.2), so the add-on ensures that sites visited see values that are the same as those on Windows 7 (which lately had become the OS used the most in the world). E.g., Windows 8 as
Windows 7, or Linux as
Windows 7, etc.
WOW64(since 37.0t31.6.0). E.g., 32-bit as 64-bit architecture.
- App: optionally, Thunderbird as
extensions.tildebirlik.privacy.blend-in.messenger.thunderfoxingin about:config (since 38.0.1t31.7.0; restarting not required since 43.0t38.4.0))

The following fields are made the same as on a Firefox (Thunderbird) running on Windows 7 (WOW64) (can be viewed locally using resource://blend-in/blended-in.html):
- User-Agent HTTP header.
- JS properties:

Since version 37.0t31.6.0, WOW64 is used as system architecture, reflecting an assumption that 64-bit Windows 7 is now more common that 32-bit (although there are no recent reliable reports on this, but 64-bit was close to 32-bit usage in a reliable general report from 2010, and a proactive assumption seems safe that by now it has passed 32-bit usage; hopefully, a new reliable general report can confirm this in the near future).
Limitation: the add-on does not modify the data about the OS that is exposed by Flash or Java (if you have one or both of them installed and enabled); while most sites probably don't use Flash or Java specifically for determining a user's OS, it is quite possible that some do.
Since 18.0t17.0.2 release, Windows (such as Vista or XP) installations are blended in by default as well (as 7).
If you'd like to unblend in for a while (or re-blend in later on), please filter for the preference containing notApplicableIfRealPlatformIsWindows (on Windows) or applicableIfRealPlatformIsNotWindows (on non-Windows) in about:config, and toggle that preference's value.
The add-on has no menu items or buttons at the moment: its value and functionality are provided seamlessly by the component behind the scenes. Modifications made by the addon are logged in the Error Console (as well as dumped to the regular console).
If the add-on is disabled or uninstalled, all modified settings are restored by the add-on to their original values.
