After numerous attempt to disable this compatibility via about:config and other add ons, this Add On finally disabled compatibility check. Mozilla should let users decide whether they want this compatibility check instead of going through this frustration.
It has NEVER worked for me over the past 6 months. EVERY time that I open up ff, the following pages also open: home page is igoogle followed by Yahoo toolbar, add-ons manager and welcome to ff also open. Windows 7 Home sp1, IE 10, Mozilla 20.0.1 margeann250 4/21/13
dosent work! firefox still check for addon compatibility every time i start it. well it`s dose not work with me,i have install this addon, but ff still check for my addon compatibility every time i open ff,sory to say i dosent use firefox anymore.
This is fantastic! Thank you so VERY much! I just installed regular Firefox because Aurora is having some trouble with one of my add-ons, and the add-on compatibility check was happening every time I open Firefox or Aurora. I was getting ready to have to just deal with the annoyance when I found your add-on. Thank you again very much. Awesome work!
I installed this add-on, but what I am really interested is in something that lets me install outdated add-ons that are not compatible with my current firefox version - in particular the 'customizegoogle' (cg) add-on. I have found that the add-on keeps on working in newer versions even if it is deemed outdated for that version. Because of a crash, I had to make a fresh installation of Firefox and now I can no longer install the cg add-on. Please let me know if this add-on will help me in that :) Sry for the length of the post.
I just upgraded to the Firefox 17 build, and LastPass immediate broke. Something told me to try this and I did......it WORKS!!! I was able to reinstall from LastPass.com, and everything went through without a hitch. Please keep this add-on updated. Thanks!!!!
