  • Generally an nice idea and a nice tool to show what is linked. You will wonder. Right now it has some issues, like some others mentioned already. I have also performance problems because of all the node that are shown since sep 2017
  • Muito bom
  • Să începem.
  • It lets me see who is snooping as I browse
  • its very fast as opposed to google.
  • La lista con los datos de de los sitios no aparece. El panel de información tampoco. Así no se puede analizar los datos. No aparece desde que actualice Firefox a la versión 58
  • Not (longer) usable on 52.6.0 (32-bit).

Graph doesn't fit on screen (and this would be the first app where I really need a mouse-wheel). No way to change a setting manually ?
    List-button isn't available anymore
I tried already uninstall/re-install but the problems remain
  • As noted by others, Lightbeam no longer works in Firefox 58. Also as noted by others, developers have not responded to two notifications and requests for clarification about whether it is still supported. Have found nothing about its future on Web. This is no way to treat long-time users of this extension!
  • C x
  • Don't work no more (FF 58)
  • j'ai lightbeam graph
    mais pas lightbeam list ......
  • Lightbeam is broken in FF58 beta. No content is shown in the main pane, and the Tracking Protection button is off (again). Please update the extension for FF58.
Support email was sent, but has been ignored by now.
  • I love
  • Az igen! Nem semmi.
umatrix kikapcsolása után és persze 3-4 weblap frissítését követően frankón elkezdte kirajzolni a kapcsolatokat. 26 third lap kapta meg a 4 frissített lapom adatait.
Köszi a cuccot, demonstrációra kiváló eszköz! <3

  • To the Lightbeam developers who post here regularly...

I previously used an older version of Lightbeam on my PC with Firefox 56 with mostly good results.

I updated to Firefox 57.0.1 yesterday, then installed Lightbeam 2.0.4 after uninstalling the previous version, because the older version of Lightbeam had major issues when using 57.0.1.

I am having the same issues using 2.0.4 with 57.0.1. The "List" button no longer appears in the upper-left hand corner. Clicking on "Graph" does nothing and none of the visited websites appear in the "Graph" visualization. Without the List button, the List screen is unavailable.

I've since learned Firefox 57 uses an entirely new engine. Since 57 was released a month after 2.0.4, the compatibility issue is no surprise.

My question to you is this. Will Lightbeam release a PC version that is compatible with 57 and, if so, when?
  • This add-on is a completely-dead dud!

Perhaps another add-on or setting is interfering with it, but this extension no longer works with Firefox 57+. The data and graph are blank and the Tracking Protection switch does not stay on.

Existing problems prior included blocked domains eventually unblocking themselves and difficulty getting graph to appear.

Other than that, I loved this extension before!
  • It's not working anymore with the "always use private browsing mode" setting enabled.
To make lightbeam back to work i sadly need to uncheck that setting.

Moreover the list view is now missing.

    Waiting a new release
  • Overall great but I'm not able to select+copy third-party hostnames from the graph that I want to add to my uBlock filter list; those hostnames generally are more difficult to be typed manually.
  • I love to amaze people by opening LightBeam and showing them this beautiful and insightful graph of websites. The perfect tool to illustrate the importance of taking privacy measures (e.g. activating Tracking Protection, changing the cookie settings, installing privacy-enhancing add-ons). Very happy to see this add-on live on. Good job!
  • Hi, why are the bubbles not containing the favicon of the website any more?
  • Generally a good extension, but unfortunately not available for Android.
  • Disappears randomly in latest versions, but is restored after quitting FF window (not the app) and then reopening.

More important, graph doesn't fit inside page, can't be scrolled and randomly becomes much too small, or much too large and is unusable.

Also why no more list view?

Almost completely useless, ready to uninstall.

    OS X 10.11.6/FF52.4 ESR

EDIT: Discovered that graph can in fact be zoomed in and out with mouse dragging left or right or up or down. Takes effect after some delay, but deals with the clipping issue and makes Lightbeam usable after all. Revising my rating. Many thanks to the developer, who has been extremely prompt and responsive.
    > Disappears randomly in latest versions, but is restored after quitting FF window (not the app) and then reopening.

I'm not sure what is happening here however I suspect this could be due to other add-ons on the system you have perhaps. There shouldn't be anything that is hiding the button ever.

    > More important, graph doesn't fit inside page

The graph should be zoomed in and out with a mouse wheel or touch pad scrolling action, would it help if we list the zoom level?

    > Also why no more list view?

This is on our roadmap. It was a time constraint of rewriting the extension before November.
