Response to their headline "Why millions trust Lastpass": They used to be good, and people dislike change. Business was sold and things changed. I've had my Premium account for years, deleted today. Poorly handled data breaches, excessive data collection, and not listening to users about features nor bugs. This is how you lose the "trust of millions". I will be using Bitwarden and 1Password at work, and 1Password (most feature rich) or Proton (best privacy) at home.

How is it that it breaks so many logins? For example any attempt to log in to Github just auto fills the verifier again and again and you can't log in for a long while!!!

The plug-in keeps uninstalling itself. It happens about once a month, you're typing along and all of the sudden it's no longer there. What is going on?

I personally didn't experience too many problems using LP for years. Although the forced-sign outs every so often + not being able to sign in on more than one device at a time was a big inconvenience. After all the security concerns, I decided to delete my account and switch password-managers.

I have LastPass on desktop and laptop. The desktop extension's passwordless login continually crashes, freezing Firefox and forcing me to reboot.

I have have uninstalled and reinstalled the extension three times now, with the same issue coming up each time.

The extension in Vivaldi and Chrome does not cause this problem, nor do I have a problem in Firefox on my laptop.

My frustration level is growing exponential and it may be time to find a more reliable alternative

Long time LastPass user moving on...

I've used lastpass for a long time but the app on android and the web extension have slowly degraded over time.

Did help me to use randomly generated passwords but the button at random times will just not react when clicked.

I'm doing the switch specifically because of the data leak that happened a while ago, moving to something that is more... locally hosted instead of being saved on a cloud somewhere.

Things it does: Generate passwords and remember them.

Things it used to do reliably: Show the vault, autofill passwords, etc.

vault invisible

No longer functional. Cannot access my own vault, plugin launches site and it stays on blank page. (can only access vault by disabling plugin, then opening vault page & logging in)
Thru plugin I'm only able to access Admin Console with some limited functionality.

Nice extension, but difficult to accept privacy permissions. More people report that issue at the moment. Hint: Use "Tabulator" to reach "accept"-Button

The browser extension used to work flawlessly with Firefox. Now it doesn't and as a Premium paying customer and the lack of apparent care for this issue means I am searching for a new password manager app. Accessing my vault with the extension is not possible and many times when trying to put in information, such as a different address, it wants to prefill making it unable to see what you are trying to access. LastPass has become such a huge disappointment that I no longer recommend it to friends and family.

Très bon logiciel mais l'installation sur FireFox pose le pb suivant: après installation de l'extension la validation des données n'est pas possible car le bouton de validation n'est pas visible. Pour le faire apparaitre j'ai longtemps cherché et puis Eurêka, il faut appuyer sur TAB du clavier.

I have to use it because the company I work for uses it, but I'd rather not. It works, but it's horribly intrusive. Whenever I land on a page where I enter my credentials, it will offer to remember them for me: a popup appears in my browser, but it won't go away even when I ignore it. It stays there, until I explicitly close it. EXTREMELY annoying. Fortunately, I only need to use it once or twice per week, so I disable it as soon as I'm done with it, and use a much less intrusive password manager the rest of the time.

This is my pet peeve. I won't list the *many* other peeves I have. It's a horrible, horrible product that should never have been inflicted on computer users.

Worked OK for a while then stopped twice. Found a workarounds from others online however it's stopped working again with new Firefox update. Very frustrating.
