The only 1080p-downloader I could find, that still works after Youtubes recent changes. Yes, it costs a few bucks, but imho its absolutely worth that. It's fast, simple, has no ads at all, and you get friedly and competent customer support.

At first, the download button did not appear in Firefox. After contacting support, the addon author immediately made multiple efforts over several days to troubleshoot the cause of the problem. He simply wouldn't give up, instead offered superb and kindly service. Turns out blocking ALL cookies in FF was my error. Allowing session cookies works. And so does the addon! Beautifully! :)

I use Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express to download historical documentaries and biographies as MP3 files and put them on my phone to listen to while traveling. Makes the trips so much more enjoyable. I reported a problem with downloading certain video files and Dishita worked on it for three days, sent an email "Try again." and the problem was fixed. The guy is a genius. YouTube constantly fights this guy, always changing their code trying to defeat his extension. He has to spend a lot of time updating the extension to overcome this, so please send a generous donation so he will continue supporting the extension. I like to donate once a year when I think of it.

When you disable autoplay of YouTube videos, a black screen appears instead of a preview, but overall the plugin copes with its task.

This add-on works well, works consistently, and has a very good support system. I've never had any issues with the add-on itself. It's solid.
Occasionally, YouTube will make code changes and that will affect the add-on (and not just this one!). Dishita is diligent and works quickly to address issues created by code changes.

Great Youtube video downloader tool but I wish it would have a 480p option. I can only download 480p videos in 360p which is dumb.

No stars. Useless unless you pay them money. Find another downloader.

Have used this on YT for years now, and am very satisfied. It is reliable and thus far, any problems have been resolved relatively promptly. It is completely worth the small donation! A 'must have' for any regular YT user.

Doesn't let you download high resolution videos.
