Once you allow for a site, it allows all instances for all pages on that domain. For example, allowing one Youtube video makes all other Youtoube videos autoplay. For this reason, this addon is of very limited value, IMO.

Anyone can tell me if this addon still work? Perhaps it should be refreshed with 'no restart' for ease sake. Firefox 27's ask to activate won't work. It only ask to activate for the first video. 2nd video continue to play zzz

Youtube stopper + Security Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

Not as much of a hassle as I thought it would be, and plus is it's a good youtube stopper, regardless of whether the video is in HTML5 or not.

A better interface for Firefox's obscure click-to-play ability. Plugins can (though rarely) be a security risk if run, so modern browsers appear to be giving users better control on this.

Reposting helpful hints:
If it doesn't look like it's doing anything, set individual plugin settings to 'Ask to Activate' in your extension manager.
If you can't see a plugin click-to-play interface, you can toggle the little plugin icon that appears in the urlbar.

Click-to-Play is a feature of Firefox itself, so no surprise this add-on now works different in Firefox 23. After installing this add-on, you must invoke your extension manager and set individual plug-in settings to "Ask to Activate".

Excellent. Should be built into default Firefox!

works like a charm; if you can't see a plugin click-to-play interface, you can toggle the little plugin icon that appears in the urlbar. This plugin allows click-to-play functionality, much like chrome's. Click-to-play is a nice compromise for keeping plugins, but having them be off by default, thus mitigating plugin-centered security risks while still allowing you to use plugins on trusted sites.

Should become part of Firefox, it is needed that much Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

Works fine so far.

This is much needed and I think it should become an integral part of Firefox.

I have two suggestions.

1. An interface to list the trusted sites and allow individual removal.

2. I would like to be able to pick which plug-ins this applies to. I only want it to apply to insecure plug-ins, not all plug-ins.

And if it becomes an integral part of Firefox, then FF could turn it on when zero-day vulnerabilities are found. (Maybe ON, OFF, AUTO settings.)

This add-on really works! Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

Since the latest Firefox update (17.0.1) it has not been possible to stop a video opened in the background from playing. I have tried out numerous other stop-play add-ons which did not accomplish this. This add-on successfully accomplishes this task. Kudos :)Request for next upgrade: Give us a way to enable playlists to play, but to stop individual videos from playing.

Not only will this help make your computer a little more secure, but some videos from You Tube autoplay on some sites even when you have autoplay disabled. This puts the quabosh on that behavior.
