Thanks for your works ;)
Don't put on the extension developer the fact that FF has decided to change the API forcing all developers to rewrite their extension. Extensions are part of the success of FF but unfortunately, with such decision FF shoots himself in the foot.
This became essential for Firefox after Mozilla killed the bottom status/add-on bar. With v57 this no longer works, and that is a shame -- also a good reason to back down to v56.0.2 after trying out the terrible v57. I hope Mozilla is listening; v57 is a dog. A very fast, sleek dog. (But a dumb -- make that very dumb -- dog.)
please fix it for quantum, thanks so much!!!
I need this for 57+. I don't like the "More Tools" arrow on the top.
Its very good. I like to make to remove the close button.
will this be 57 ready
This Is Wonderful ,Man ,Thank You
mozilla makes problems for it's users
Well worth the $10.00 I donated.
Firefox just is so much better with a working Add-on Bar, and appreciate your efforts keeping it up-to-date with Firefox versions :-))
can you please add an option to hide close button?
questa ha la stessa funzione https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/new-add-on-bar/developers
Firefox was going in the bin! Hated that Mozilla removed the add on bar. Just ensured more clutter on the top. Whatever was wrong with just leaving people the option. If you didn't like it all you had to do was un-tick it.
Anyway, great add-on. Working 55.0.2 Mint.
It's compitable with 55.0.3
As of the latest FF update, The Add-on Bar has stopped working. There is a note next to the add-on saying that it is incompatible. It is disabled without the ability to enable it. One user reported here that it's working fine with 55.0.3. I wonder how that's so? I hope this add-on is updated in the near future. I can't find another one like it.
Replaced The Addon Bar (Restored) which disappeared with 55.0.2 update.
Seems to be working fine.
I'm using FF 55.0.1 and Ubuntu Mate 16.04 - 32 bit. Since FF up graded to 55.0.1 my "New Addon Bar" is empty. My Xmarks, Informenter, and Show Password used to reside there quite nicely.
I would like to donate thru Paypal but, I can't donate when the addon does not work. It's just an empty space, taking up space.
Anyone else have this problem?
The 5 stars are for this addon's past performance.
Thanks for the memories...
Works like a charm on FF 55.0.1 (64-bit)!
Leszek, sincere thanks!
Just installed to replace "The Add On Bar (restored)" and "Status-4-Evar" not working any more after Firfeox upgrade to 55.0.1. Good!
Does not work for me with Firefox 54.0.1 x64 and also isn't compatible with Multiproces.
This add-on was much needed in order not to mess up with menu bar and bookmarks toolbar. Simple as this add-on seems kudos to the developer for his great work and understanding the need.
why did Mozilla have to break compatibility for the Addon Bar Restored? I'm one of many who will jump from that ship, a comfortable place after years of use, but I wonder why we have to either live in the dark or invest excess time to discover why the team chose to break a working item? FireFox is ugly now that they chose to break the Noia theme; item-Properties judged not important; password manager; menu editor; and the list of excellent widgets broken by FF/Moz but not replaced marches on.
Thanks to the author of this, er, timely addon
Thanks for you review. This add-on working because is simply the best. :). Addon Bar Restored is complex, and when Firefox developers removed some obsolete code (add-ons developers were informed about this before) not working.
I loved the addon bar and when it was removed from firefox the first thing i did was look for a way to get it back. Eventually I had found an addon that was able to bring it back just like this one but that stopped working after the newest update to firefox. There was a post on the page for that addon telling people about how this addon does the same thing but still works with newest firefox and that led me here.
