I hope it's possible to make something similar for new ff.
I am using your addon and I like it. But, please, prepare for Firefox 57.
Thanks for the compliments! Unfortunately, unless something changes, this type of add-on is not possible with Firefox 57.
Recently moved to a HD screen and hated that extra space on top of the tabs... very happy I was able to remove it!
Thank you so much
Hello! Thanks for the review, but I should note that Mozilla is changing to a new extension framework with Firefox 57 (end of September). This framework is very similar to the one Google and Microsoft use with Chrome and Edge. Existing add-ons will need to be completely re-written. Worse, as far as I know, it's impossible to write an extension like More or Less Browser Window Padding in the new API, because it's not really designed to modify the browser's skin. I tried to delist my extension to prevent new installs, but that apparently removed the extension from existing users, so I re-listed it. Long story short, Firefox will break this extension in a couple of months, and it seems unlikely that a replacement can be made.
Such a useful add-on if you like playing with themes! Often, the best parts of the theme are hidden if you don't have sufficient padding at the top of the window. This solves that problem perfectly.
This addons make what it does!!
Is it possible to have the same for Thunderbird? =)
Thanks for the compliments!
Honestly, I have never considered Thunderbird because, although I use it, not for long enough that its theme ever really stood out to me. I can consider it, though, especially if a lot of the code can be reused.
Also: You don't have to wait for me to do it. The source is available at GitHub ( https://github.com/ScottMichaud/More-Or-Less-Padding ). Anyone can modify it as they like (as long as it satisfies the Mozilla Public License 2.0, which is quite permissive) and make their own extension.
This add-on does exactly what it says in the description, and it does so well. No more wasted space caused by windowed mode.
Thanks for the kind words! Enjoy!
