This looks ideal since Dev dropped the "populate form" feature....I installed FormBug but I can't see any menu...where is it hiding?
works with firefox 64-bit windows 8.1 pro - literally a genius plugin for blazing through dummy forms for either testing purposes or just getting through spam. - I do wish that there was a hotkey for my keyboard I could use...
Used on wrong version of FF, author got in touch with me quickly and advised.
Hi, this is the author of the FormBug. Which version of FireFox are you running on? As the plugin description states, the plugin only runs in old versions of FF (3.5-5.x), so if you're trying to run on a later version than that, you're on an unsupported platform.
This is a very useful extension for any developer who uses HTML forms.
I wrote to the author of the extension to ask about an update for Firefox 4. He says he hopes to have it done "this weekend" (around 03 Apr 2011).
Thank you very much!:) It will be so greatful if this extension is upgraded:)
I've been using the web developer toolbar for this until now.
Populating the forms with web developer was getting tedious, since 'populate form' is buried a few levels deep in the context menu.
I may actually disable/uninstall web developer now!
The idea is there, this tool may come in handy.
But it didn't behave like I expected. Maybe I'd like it to use a bit more the panel. A function to easily list forms and their inputs, you click a an item and you see it highlighted in the page ....
Even if ability to click on a form in the page to inspect it is a must have, being forced to do so is not good !
