Yet another case, when I think to myself "I shouldn't need an extension for that"... But it's surely better than hitting Ctrl+Q instead of Ctrl+W by mistake.
So thank you for creating this extension!

Does exactly what it says.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. My problem was primarily with the site for "Outlook Web Access" where I use Ctrl+Q to mark e-mails as read (since I don't delete them), and if the focus on the page isn't on a message header at the time, it would close Firefox (and all my tabs with it...). This resolves this issue for me.

Works as described.
Ubuntu 14.04/Firefox 33.0

Does exactly what it says and nothing else. Efficiently written minimalist addon for an option that really should be built in.

What more to say, it does it and it does it well!

I don't know how many times I've accidentally shut down Firefox because of it, but no more!

Thanks!!!!!!! I was going insane with the blasted Ctrl-Q

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does what it says. I bounce on Ctrl+W a lot, and when I'm not paying attention I occasionally accidentally hit Ctrl+Q and am sad. You'd think after years I'd learn, but apparently not. Now I don't accidentally shut down Firefox!

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Now I can put my Q key back in! *shakes fist at Mozilla*

I did close my browser by mistake once. ONCE!

After the fourth time today accidentally closing a browser with 10+ tabs open, you sir, have just saved my laptop from being beaten severely with the nearest blunt object. And for that, you have my thanks.

Does what it have to do :) Ubuntu 13.10 / Firefox 25.0 here. Thank you.

Works on Linux too Rated 5 out of 5 stars

at least on my kubuntu 13.10

ctrl-w please! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I would like ctrl-w too to avoid closing a tab. I use emacs, so ctrl-w slips out habitually when I am editing.

Tiny add-on that delivers on its promise: it disables C-q.
