Всё что нужно и больше ничего не надо! поддерживайте совместимость с новыми версиями и всё будет хорошо.

A must have for people who preferred the old style. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much for existing. Add-ons like this many people still even use firefox. Without this, I would have switched to Chrome and by god, I never want to have to do that. This makes Firefox what it should be. Thank you for making such a wonderous add-on.

W/O CTR, would have abandoned FF! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Was about to give up when FF dumped their config, & abandoned many features that allowed my config.
Was ready to dump FF.
After considerable research found CTR and it has rescued FF.
I HOPE FF APPRECIATES THIS!

Does the Job Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Why would someone FORCE THE POSITION OF A BUTTON (reload/stop-button - on the other side of the window!!)?
Why would someone make a button SMALL AND DIFFICULT TO FIND (reload/stop-button)?
Why would someone REMOVE OFTEN USED BUTTONS? (reload/stop-button)?

Maybe the Firefox devs have no slow connection and web pages never render incomplete or broken on their screens?
Maybe they dont use agressive Proxies and they dont switch often?
Maybe they dont deactivate images/Flash/Java/frames/css/javascript to stop annoying websites?
Maybe they never make errors while editing pages for scraping using "Hack the web"?
So they never need a reload button?

Why would someone GROUP AN OFTEN USED BUTTON WITH A RARELY USED ONE (bookmark+bookmark manager)?

To make it easier for the Newbies? But whats with the power users?

Why would someone REMOVE COLORS FROM BUTTONS?
I have no explanaition for this. Google does it too. Maybe the Designers are depressed?

However, your Addon is FIXING ALL THESE ANNOYANCES. Thank you very much!

Good but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good addon in that it keeps FF looking like I want it to. But have had a major problem in that after exiting FF, FF would keep running in the background and consuming memory continuously until it would crash. At times if I start FF it may say it is already running. By process of elimination and disabling all addons, I narrowed it down to this addon. But have found that after disabling all about-config options in the advanced tab, the problem was solved. Happy that it was resolvable or I would have had to do without it.

Thats strange. All about:config preferences are default Firefox preferences this add-on only provides switches for. They exist even without CTR.

More likely your system has a problem with browsers current rendering engine, hardware acceleration and/or graphics card/driver.

If possible, test CTR on a new profile without disabling all about:config preferences on advanced tab, just to be sure.

Excellent. Great add-on. I really hope FF gets back to this same theme soon.

nvm, I derped Rated 5 out of 5 stars

all I had to do was reset to default and then redo everything. it works now as expected.

Please report issues on support forum or via email and not in this add-ons comments area.

What is the last CTR version without this bug?

I have not seen anything like you describe on systems I test CTR on and for sure there is no such feature or function to keep one unusable tab on tabs toolbar.

Could you provide additional information like OS version, OS theme, Firefox version etc. and your CTR settings?

Have you already tried a new profile with only CTR installed?

CTR does not change tab ui, if you are using complete themes and the issue sounds like being more related to a theme or tab add-on than to CTR.

Firefox button disappears without tabs (Resolved) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Ok, couldn't figure out how to reply to your comment for some reason, so I'll make a new review. Thank you, I didn't realize that 'Classic Theme Restorer' was conflicting with the 'Hide Tab Bar with One Tab' add-on. Disabling that and selecting to hide the tab in your add-on worked. Thank you very much. I am now completely happy with Firefox once again.

You need to test this add-on in Torbrowser Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Torbrowser won't remember the window size with CTR installed. When I disable CTR in Torbrowser, I have no problem setting the window size.

I'm sorry you having trouble, but there is nothing in CTR that modifies the window size.

Could you try to setup a new profile?

EDIT
Just tested TorBrowser and it fails to remember window dimensions even without CTR installed. So the bug is somewhere else and not CTR related (at least not in my tests).

Firefox f*d up its UI Rated 5 out of 5 stars

FF did what MS did with Windows' UI. I really don't like this new UI. I hate that three line stylish button. Give me that old simple button. Moreover it is not fun to use a 400KB+ addon. Can't this addon be a simple Classic Theme Restorer without the button "Options"?

CTR has grown over time. ;-)

Keep in mind most CTR features have not only to be there and work, but also require a decent appearance on all available OSs (Windows, Linux, MacOSX), OS versions (WinXP, 7, 8, Linux KDE/Gnome ui...) and OS themes (Classic, Aero, AeroGlass, Luna...). Sometimes different code is required for default themes, complete themes or lw-themes (aka Personas). All this increases add-ons size.

Where would be the line between what feature should be part of a tiny CTR add-on version and what not? I bet everybody has a different opinion on that.

400KB+ more or less is not that much, if you compare it to all other services/applications allocating system memory all the time.

Thanks! Firefox is #1 in my book. I first tried using "Firefox 3" out of curiosity several years ago and have stuck with Firefox ever since. If it weren't for "Theme Restorer", I would have switched to Google Chrome, which i do have installed, but very rarely us it. Come on Firefox, over 400,000 users of Theme Restorer... isn't that a "hint"?

Simple & Clean Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This makes the design simple and clean again, as I love it.
If there weren't so many addons for Firefox, I already would be using Opera, with better design and better speed. The addons community is amazing.

New Firefox looks like it was made by stupid children of Android... Classic Theme Restorer is probably the best addon to restore what FF was famous and loved - simplicity and pure design.
Unfortunatelly CTR doesn't work with Forecastfox addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-fix-version/) - when CTR is switched on just hides Forecastfox somewhere... Any solution ?

UPDATE 12.02.2015

You are right. Everything works well on new FF with new profile. Something had to go wrong when I added CTR to my full of addons FF (about 30 addons in use) but it is hard to find what generates problem

Thank you again :)
Regards

Forecastfox (fix version) and the old Forecastfox work both for me with CTR.

Tested with old and new profile(s), so the problem must be somewhere on your side.

Are you sure CTRs movable status area is visible? Forecastfox adds its content there.

Try to setup a new profile for testing.

An essential tool for my workstation. I've been using a well known fork of FF (still do), nearly gave up here all together first time I heard Australis made it's way into Nightly. This addon goes beyond reinstating some placements and visuals, but restores features that have been missing since the move to 4.x. I have tabs on bottom, security box icons and colors, RSS link in Awesomebar. This is the Firefox I remember.
It's quite a shame this extension even has to exist. None the less, outstanding so far. Using with Firefox 31 ESR + Noia Fox 3.0.6.

This is a top shelf extension. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

CTR works beautifully with Iceweasel 31 in Debian Jessie. I have been using it since that Australis mess was rolled out.

Here's what it looks like: https://i.imgur.com/ucVaky6.png

I have seriously got to the point where when I use Firefox on another machine I don't know what the hell I am using. This could almost be a downside to really effective customisation ;)

Thanks for a terrific tool. Now I get to keep using the browser I like.

Great extension, fixes all the terrible UI changes Firefox has made in the past yer or two. It's too bad this extension even exists.
