A proposito de iste extension
Every Australian university names things differently. Applying for leave might
mean Workday at one, Aurion at another, Themis or Staff Connect somewhere else.
If you are new, casual, or work across faculties, you spend real time hunting for
a system whose name nobody told you.
UniLayer lets you describe the outcome instead. Type "annual leave", "casual
timesheet" or "my computer is broken" and it finds the system your university
actually uses — ranked for your role, because a casual academic and a continuing
academic often need different systems for the same task.
WHAT IT DOES
• Search by intent, not by system name
• Recognises the university system you are currently on, including shared
platforms like Workday, ServiceNow, Canvas and SharePoint where the web address
alone does not identify your institution
• Starter records for all 42 Australian universities
• Star what you use, save the exact page you need, and group things into
collections that match your work rather than the org chart
• A first-use guide that actually explains how to use it
• Optional daily change-checks on policy pages you choose to watch
YOURS TO CORRECT
UniLayer's university records are compiled from publicly available pages. They
are not published or endorsed by any institution, and your university always
knows its own systems better than a starter list does. So every record shows
where it came from and when it was checked, and every record can be corrected —
name, address, description, tags. Your version wins, and you can reset to the
packaged one at any time.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
• No account, no sign-in, no analytics endpoint, no advertising SDK
• Your workspace, notes, favourites and history stay in your browser
• Website access is optional and granted per university domain — never "all
sites". You can revoke it at any time
• The only outbound request UniLayer ever makes is a policy change-check, which
is off by default and only ever touches pages you explicitly chose to watch
• Export or delete everything whenever you like
Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of any university.
University names are used only to describe which institution a set of public
links relates to.
