ThamiZha! Solthiruthi(Tamil spellchecker) per Muguntharaj, lavanyas

இச்சொல்திருத்தி, பலரது தொண்டூழிய உழைப்பின் வெளிப்பாடு ஆகும்.

இது தன் பயணத்தை 2004 ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கியது. வே. இளஞ்செழியன், இராதாகிருஷ்ணன், சு. முகுந்தராஜ், விஜெய் ஆகியோர் இத்திட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

பின்னர், 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு, அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த மாலதி செல்வராஜ், சுஜி, ஶ்ரீ ராமதாஸ் ஆகியோர் விடுபட்டு போன திட்டத்திற்குப் புத்துயிர் கொடுத்தனர்.

2010 இல், முனை. கேவின் ஸ்கேனல் குருபடான் 2.0 என்ற தனது வலை-தவழ் பொறியைக் கொண்டு 50 இலட்சம் தமிழ் சொற்தொகுதியை உருவாக்கினார். இச்சொல்திருத்தி, அத்தொகுதியின் அடிப்படையில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது.
அவரைத் தவிர்த்து, ஹன்ஸ்பெல்லைத் தயாரித்த லாசி நெமெத்தும் அறிவுரைகளை வழங்கினார். முனை. ந. தெய்வசுந்தரம் அவர்களும் மொழி ஆய்வு பற்றிய அரிய கருத்துகளைத் தந்து உதவினார். - தமிழா! குழுவினர்.

This spellchecker started its journey in 2004, and owes its existence to many. Its creators include Ve. Elanjelian, S. Muguntharaj, Radhakrishnan, Vijay, A. Suji, Malathi Selvaraj, Sri Ramadoss, Yagna Kalyanaraman, Lavanya Sundararajan, Pranava Swaroop and Siddarth Vengatesan. Prof. Kevin Scannell provided critical support with his Crubadan 2.0 - http://borel.slu.edu/crubadan/stadas.html, and gave the effort a Tamil corpus with close to 5 million words.

This spellchecker is largely based on that corpus. Our gratitute also goes to Prof. N. Deivasundram who readily shared with us his knowledge on and passion for Natural Language Processing. And, of course, Nemeth Laci, who created Hunspell!
