Worked perfectly for me without any restarting or refreshing of the google doc i currently had open. I would love to find an extension that will make the cursor stop blinking, too!

Weird amount of negative reviews. This is working great for me!

This helps me focus more on what I'm typing due to the prominence of the marker. Google should add something like this as an accessibility feature... :)

It didn't actually apply the rainbow until I'd REMOVED the add-on, bizarre

This is odd, but shouldn't be the extensions fault. Did you have Google Docs open before installation? And if so, did you refresh it after installation?
