Long chats can become slow because the browser has to keep rendering and managing a growing message history. LeanThreads keeps the active ChatGPT view focused on a configurable number of recent messages, while older context remains available through a local context drawer.

LeanThreads does not change ChatGPT’s model, account, subscription, or server-side history. It only changes how much of the conversation is rendered in the browser UI and gives you local tools for browsing and exporting context.
