It's a great tool, thank you. But you could make the "user guide" more simple, for me also it took a while to make it work. I suggest a paragraph like this:

"HOW TO USE IT

1. Click on the Sidebar icon.
2. Go to the Sidebar panel on the left.
3. Click Play, if you simply want to update all your favicons.
4. Click Question mark, if you want more information or use other features.

Worked well - removed the broken / frozen bookmarks, and gave me a short list of bookmarks that it thought were not working. The icons to manage this short list are cryptic - it took me a bit to puzzle out what they were, and how to use them. But the end result was great - I recovered all bookmarks that worked, and removed the ones that were frozen or broken.

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to do anything. I ended up opening all of my 216 bookmarks simultaneously and that way, all available favicons were loaded. For bookmark ordering, I had to use a different product too, but I like the notion of one extension that satisfies both requirements and will try checkmarks again from time to time, then reevaluate my star rating if checkmarks should suddenly become functional.

O/S is Mint 18.3, running natively as sole O/S on a MacBook Pro 13.3" pre-retina.

Foi muito bom ter recuperado os ícones de muitos favoritos, já que havia desaparecido a maioria por ter importado do Chrome. Bom também a identificação de links com problemas separando por tipo.

Omg, why i found that only now xD really great job mate, this bookmarks Add-ons is really awesome, i use Firefox since FF exist and i don't remember how many times i manually re-opened all my tabs to restore the Favicons and check the validity of my links, and with my 900 links approximately i let you imagine the time needed ^^ So a big thanks to you for this extension that makes the job perfectly! (~25min for my 900 bookmarks with the default setting of 5 tabs, not ultra fast but a lot better than manually x) )

Works great, albeit a little slow if you have tons of bookmarks. I did have trouble at first discovering how to run it (sidebar!!), but once I figured that out, it worked flawlessly. Thanks!!!

Working great in my windows 8.1 and FF 61.0.1 64bit. Hope you could add some kind of domain level settings in order to avoid looking multiple times for favicons on same domain bookmarks. Great addon, thank you!

Thnx for making this. I was looking for this kind of extension now found one. And can you please option to hide the sidebar while refreshing icons and load sites in background if possible. That would be awesome.

It hangs (freezes) the browser at a certain percentage, tried 3 times and every time I had to end firefox task
through Task Manager, uninstalling it!

omg ! Favicon restorer extensions missed me so much and now you have done it in webext ! you saved my day ! one suggestion : create a dark teme for sidebar please ! if you don't do it that's not really important ! i love it as this ! hanks for this good work and great idea
