ProxyMust – Proxy Checker & Manager per nana.xakep

ProxyMust is a powerful and convenient proxy server manager with selective routing, testing, automatic quality rating, and a new AutoProxy mode that automatically finds a working proxy for sites that are not directly accessible.

The extension gives you full control over when and for which sites to enable a proxy, automatically checks their availability, sorts them by rating, and can switch proxies on the fly when errors occur.

🚀 Key features:

• Four operation modes – Direct (no proxy), AutoProxy (rule‑based with automatic selection), Always On (with exceptions), and System Proxy.

• AutoProxy mode – for each rule you can choose "Auto" (system picks the best proxy based on test results, rating, and priority) or "Manual". On connection errors (failover), the system automatically switches to the next suitable proxy and reloads the page, trying up to the configured number of full cycles. After a successful load, a dialog offers to pin the working proxy (temporarily, for the session) or continue searching. If a site fails to load without proxy, a dialog offers to add it to AutoProxy – upon confirmation, the system immediately finds a working proxy.

• Flexible rules – domains/subdomains, URL patterns, regular expressions, exact URLs, and CIDR ranges. Rules can be created manually, imported from GFWList / SwitchyOmega, or even auto‑created when a site is tested or added via the popup.

• Proxy testing – four types of checks: precise (accurate, slower), express (fast), cycle (full switching, reliable), and express‑cycle (fast switching). Tests can be run for all proxies, selected ones, or the current site – directly from the popup or the settings page.

• Enhanced privacy – by default, your real IP is never sent to external services (the option is disabled). All checks are performed via fetch without opening tabs. You can enable direct IP detection in settings for more accurate results.

• Automatic protocol switching – if a proxy does not work with its declared protocol (SOCKS/HTTP/HTTPS), the extension tries other protocols automatically. Two modes: "Probable" (recommended, fast) and "Full" (exhaustive). Enable in settings.

• Built‑in test log viewer – now you see every step: IP retrieval, site availability, proxy status, and transitions. The log is available on the settings page and in a separate window from the popup, with real‑time updates and a "Pin" button to keep it on top.

• Rating and statuses – each proxy gets a numeric rating (+1 for success, –1 for failure). Next to each proxy, a status for the selected site: ✅ working, ☑ probably working, ❔ IP obtained (page not loaded), ❓ no data, ⛔ not working. Statuses are automatically updated after every test or page load.

• Context menu – in the proxy table (right‑click) you can change rating, set priority (📌 pin / ⭐ star), export selected, copy addresses, delete, clear statuses, run tests, and move items in the list.

• Subscriptions – support for proxy lists (PlainText, JSON, CSV) and rule lists (AutoProxy/GFWList, SwitchyOmega) with automatic updates. CSV import handles both header and headerless files with delimiters (comma, semicolon, tab). Format auto‑detection (JSON → CSV → TXT) is now included.

• Auto‑switch to Direct when saving subscriptions – no need to manually switch if a profile with a non‑working proxy is active. Subscriptions are auto‑saved after successful addition.

• Synchronisation and backup – sync settings via browser sync or WebDAV, full backup and restore.

• Themes – light, dark, auto (follows browser theme), and custom CSS themes.

• Keyboard shortcuts – quick switching between proxies and profiles (configurable in the browser).

🔐 Privacy & transparency:
The extension does not collect or transmit any data – the only external requests are to IP services (only if you explicitly allow it). The source code is fully open on GitHub.
