per onix, hace 8 añosVery disappointed by new requirements to access ALL data on websites. Doesn't anyone else see this as a huge security breach?
UPDATE based on DW-dev's comments: I was not aware that the legacy Print Edit has such broad access. This is alarming. So in the vein of correcting these ills, the default Firefox permissions do not give me comfort. For example, does PE WE have access to my financial institution's open website in a separate tab, when I'm interested in printing a New York Time's article in my current tab? While I have no reason to question your word, it's hard to know and feel comfortable with what is going on beneath the surface. PE WE could be scraping all my website data, and I would never know.

publicate hace 8 añosLegacy add-ons, such as the original Print Edit, had greater permissions than Print Edit WE.
The permission messages that you see when you install an add-on are generated by Firefox. These permission messages are based on the permissions specified in the add-on manifest file. These permission messages are broad-brush and do not give a detailed insight into the operations performed by an add-on.
In summary:
- Print Edit WE only asks for the permissions it needs to perform its functions.
- Print Edit WE saves the configured options in your Firefox profile on your computer.
- Print Edit WE (when you use Save As HMTL or Save As PDF) saves the page you have edited in the location you choose on your computer.
- Print Edit WE does not send any data to the developer or to third parties.

Also, it would be nice to know a location to report extension issues besides in a review.

especially great for when people send you emails with messy formatting and you need to print them out for paperwork purposes.
very basic knowledge of html is recommended to use it to the full potential, but the ui is well-designed enough for anybody to use it, with or without html knowldge.

Graphics still show up in print, edits don't get saved, the interface itself is ambiguous, user unfriendly, and unintuitive. Why is this broken tool even on the list??

- Classificate 5 de 5per SM, hace 6 mesesDoes the job as expected. It is easy to select different parts of the page and print only what's required. I like that fact that it does not require a reload of the page, either when clicking the extension or when closing it down.
I would love an 'auto' function that gets rid of stuff automatically, and the user can tweak further if needed (or undo).
It would be more helpful if the buttons & functions had a small tooltip description about what each sub-component does.
If both these are available already, then they need to be highlighted more obviously. Perhaps a (skippable) mini-tutorial when the extension is installed.
