per Mariano Ruiz, 5 år sidanIt works well, it syncs with my Android phone well, and it has makdown support! Downside: most of the apps to take notes allow you to classify notes by tags, folders... it would be nice to have tags, and be able to filter by them. Also the lack of a search future makes it not an option for large number of notes.

So, at the moment Firefox has not notes or file sharing add-on or functionality.
Otherwise, if you use just your PC, it's a note taking sidebar extension, as advertised.

If there could be some kind of pop up or warning when you go to delete a note -- along the lines of "Are you sure you want to delete this note? This action cannot be undone" -- that would be super helpful. Thanks!
