Does the job, as advertised. 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Great for reading that odd attachment from Outlook mail. Works seamlessly.

Works with winmail attachments! Thunderbird 31 Linux 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Got email forwarded from a Outlook 2010 client and was surprised with winmail attachments instead of documents. I was able to open them with ease using this add-on, thanks!

Irreplaceable 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Working for me on 24.6.0 and I'm very thankful for it.

Fantastic when it still worked. 3 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

I will donate if this gets updated.

Stopped working with TB 24.2.0 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Great add-on. Essential to TB in a production environment. Unfortunately it stopped working with TB 24.2.0

Not working on Thunderbird 24.2.0 4 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

It stopped working recently, I'm not sure since which update it stopped, but I'm currently running Linux Thunderbirt 24.2.0 version. Hope to find a fix soon.

Problems in 24.1.1 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Stopped working for me with 24.1.1. It's so critical to the use of TB, that if it continues to not work we'll have to migrate to another client. This functionality is necessary for TB in an office environment.

Worked fine withhout any tweaks in Thunderbird 24.1

This works great for me in Thunderbird 24 after a small tweak. Close Thunderbird, then delete (or rename) your mimeTypes.rdf file, then start Thunderbird. I think I had associated application/tnef with something else before, causing the suggested fix below (adding to mimeTypes.rdf) to fail for me.

Not working with TB 24 2 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

I tried the fix suggested by a previous reviewer, and that fix isn't working either. I would very much love to view my attachments, but I still can't. Too bad - it seems like this is such an essential tool.

Fix for TB 17 and previous not working versions 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Doesn't work on TB 17.0.6 too, but I suppose this bug it's not strictly related with TB version.
After a few testing I saw that the addin doesn't manage the winmail.dat attachment because of a missing entry into mimeTypes.rdf file.

To fix it:
- close all Thunderbird instances
- open your profile folder (on Windows press WIN+R, write %appdata% and press ENTER)
- make a backup copy of mimeTypes.rdf file
- open mimeTypes.rdf with your preferred text editor
- go to the end and paste this content ust before the last line (</RDF:RDF>)
<RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:application/ms-tnef"
<NC:handlerProp RDF:resource="urn:mimetype:handler:application/ms-tnef"/>

Mail sent to developer.

GREAT! 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

Works directly! Maybe as a new feater, a checkbox to disable the other files. I'm getting a .dat file and I'm only interested in the .doc file and not the .html & .vcf :).

Attachments come through fantastic in TB17. Thank goodness!

Work with TB17 5 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

hope to compatible with Thunderbird Conversations

Doesn't seem to work with TB 17. Clicking on attachments in an email just opens an open with dialog. When choosing Thunderbird as the application, it just opens an email with the ics file as an attachment. Read the instructions for Lookout. It seems like all I'd need to do is double-click the attachment in an email and it will load into the Lightning calendar. But it is not happening like that in my version.

I had a dire need for this add on and it works nicely.

Very useful tool! 4 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

This is a very useful AddOn! I use it since several years.
But it seem to interfere with "Thunderbird Conversations". Could you please contact Jonathan Protzenko the developer of "Thunderbird Conversations" for integration again?
Great Thanks!

Just as "aguenther" said, it doesn't work.
When clicked on "Open" it simply opens the "Opens with" dialog box"

Some time back it use to work though, not anymore (TB 17.0)

Conflicts with Caldev 1 csillagra értékelve az 5-ből

This conflicts with Caldev/SoGo(Inverse) functions. I use Davmail Gateway to pull in Calendaring, emails, tasks, etc. Pretty much breaks the Exchange functions. So if you're using any Calendaring feature for Exchange don't add this

Displays content of the winmail.dat, but instead of extracting it, just makes copies of said file with the names of the internal files.
