not optimize in firefox

Works, but terrible performance issues on Firefox. Much more optimized on Chrome.
Come on guys! In the age of AI - you can do a lot better, quicker, before someone else will just take it, fix it and rebrand it!

More than just and extension
Protects you from flashbangs from sites
Although it doesn't work on some sites

Works 9/10 times.

Was amazing for a while but currently has way too many performance issues that even extends to sites where it's not even on

I've used Dark Reader for YEARS but I'm finally throwing in the towel. At least on Firefox, this extension will lag your browser to death. I spent a whole week trying to trial and error what extensions were causing such huge memory usage issues and constantly causing sites to lag. I figured it was something like ublock, canvas blocker, or chrome mask. Nope. Everything lead back to Dark Reader.

This extension has helped with my eye-strain issues so much. I seriously hate to get rid of it but I can no longer look over the performance issues. Please, figure out a way to make this extension lighter or at least a stripped back version. I would love to come back and write a nicer review. For now, I will be using Stylus and simply grabbing user dark themes where I can.

Rating 5 stars because this feature is invaluable, and I've been happy to donate to the extension's development. This extension made giant strides since a few years ago; I almost don't need to disable it to unbreak sites. The performance could have been better, though.
