Grabilla Screenshot

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Uses javascript from third party domains.

Reviewer's reply to developer's reply: Yes, your extension uses javascript sourced from a domain "grabilla" regardless which website I am capturing from. That, my friend, is called a third-party script. Speculation as to why (really, why?) leads to that single lonely star as your rating.

Carina Nebula 2

I gave this five stars because it is awesome.

Adblock Lite

You might want to read this! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

A fork off of ABPv1, so the UI is very basic. You can subscribe to any list compatible with ABP as well, but the pop-up rules do not apply. Custom rules back up and restore can get tricky. Development for this project has ceased, and a new project, Adblock Edge, has succeeded it.

The custom rules restoration, when the backup file was created by ABL, will fail unless the leading line is modified. Details on the Bitbucket page in the issues forum.

Custom filter groups are not available, and any custom filter groups being imported from ABP will be consolidated under the default custom rules group. Custom element hiding rules will be retained and set inside their own custom rules group.

ABP Pop-up Addon and ABP Element Hiding Helper are both compatible with ABL.

Practically, this is a four star addon, and a five star if it was still active. However, since it is a fork off of the most popular addon in AMO, it will inherently be judged with a higher standard.

Again, this project has been discontinued.

Paste Email (original)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Stable, lightweight, and original. It's by far the most helpful context menu command.

Nuke Anything Enhanced

Unpretentious and Lightweight Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nuke Anything Enhanced is a small, simple extension providing an arguably impractical service.

Tile Tabs

Revolutionary! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Essential add-ons offer practical solutions to increase browser serviceability for the average internet user; however, few achieve the glory of producing a truly revolutionary browsing experience. Standing beside Adblock Plus and Greasemonkey/Scriptish on the pedestal is Tile Tabs (herein TT).

The ease of customizing TT pales when compared to its manifold applications. I use TT predominantly for chat and music usage, but information research, browser and extension troubleshooting, and monitoring multiple feeds are also uses which benefit.

TT is here to stay. The developer is very active and provides continual stable updates and prompt support.

TT can be used out the box, but I recommend experimenting and tweaking the options to acquire maximum usability.

Tab Utilities

Lightweight Alternative to Tab Mix Plus Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have used Tab Utilites for a few months before switching over to Tab Mix Plus. Aside from the session manager built into TMP, both offer relatively the same options. The features that TU offers over its competitors are the toggle buttons allowed on the add-in bar and a myriad "hidden options" inserted into the preferences.js file(about:config). My personal favorite toggle button was the "Open all links in a new tab," which made browsing forums very easy.

I will rate this product with five stars. Reasoning, despite my personal preference, is that it's a very powerful albeit lightweight tab manager that's updated often.

Tab Mix Plus

Everything as expected and more Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I tried TMP after using Tab Utilities for months. For the most part, it offers more options, and in more detail. Two features that I am most impressed with are the menu editor and the native tab icons. The menu editor allows editing the page context, tab context, and tools menus separately.

Menu Editor

Featured Rating Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This add-on should not be featured. It hasn't been updated in over a year and has compatibility issues with various add-ons.

I found this add-on extremely useful for removing undesirable context menu commands. Additionally, native Firefox commands within the menu bar can be customized. However, at no fault to ME's developer, conflicts do arrive with certain other add-ons that create and/or modify menu commands. The developer explains this impediment in his forum.

The signature is not cute and detracts an otherwise awesome theme.

Lose the getpersonas url that displays in the add-on tool bar.

Adblock Plus

6 Stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon offers a completely different internet experience. Boosts privacy and load times, and browsing is much easier on the eyes.

A very useful tool for both Greasemonkey and Scriptish. I would like to see the available scripts window open in a new tab instead.
