Very very helpfull Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Long time I suffered being unable to see a scrollbar, that was almost white on white. I can not imagine how the Firefox designers could come to such ugly decision. This addon make me happy today! A lot of thanks to the author!
Needs preview Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The Noia themes are all absolutely hideous but the transparent theme looks good. I wish there was a preview (or an interactive/live mockup if a preview isn't possible) so that you know what was happening when configuring your bars.
Firefox only renders/displays/updates scrollbars after a page gets (re)loaded, so there can not be a live preview of your changes.
This add-ons size is less than 90KB. Adding any live mockups / preredered images of countless possible scrollbar variations would not only increase the add-ons size by an unknown factor, but would also require a large amount of additional code without any benefits after configuration.
If you really need a live preview, you can open your library window (bookmarks, history... etc.) and a folder that offers a scrollbar within the library. Most changes inside NewScrollbars add-on go live on that window, after you change something.

It works just fine, and in an instant.
Very good add-on. Thank you!

Well thought out and very customizable Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using this add-on for about six months and it's been working flawlessly. Using a relatively bland Mac color theme, the whatever-color-you-want scrollbar stands out for easy mouse grabbing. Short wish list... ability to select scroll direction. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.3).
Very Nice! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The "Customizable v2" bars allows you to tweak the hover colors as well, which is a big plus. Runs smooth and w/o any issues/bugs on PaleMoon 25.5 running in KDE5 (Linux).
Appreciate the work Aris!
Works like a charm Rated 5 out of 5 stars
LONG time ago . . . With a sadly gone OS called XP. You could change the scroll bar size in your OS and when you did that; Firefox would be changed too. Them days are long gone. Yet at least I can get a big scroll bar on Firefox with this addon. When I have to load all my addons this is one of the first that I load up.
To me it makes life so much easier to have a thick scroll bar to click on. But what do I know. I thought Steve Jobs was nuts when he said you can use your finger for a stylus.

The add-on description says the zoom issue it's a bug and that the bug was fixed Firefox 33 and I'm using firefox 39 so I thought that it should be ok. Regarding the zoom issue: Cant you make firefox load a new image when page zoom reaches some number or after pressing a button or key? That way the scrollbar will change size but as soon as it hits a very noticeable point it would get replaced with the new image of the appropriate size.
Regarding the customization on the custom v2 you only get the option of circles instead of buttons it could be triangles or squares or stars or hearts also maybe you can put the option for the user to select an image file for the buttons cap slider and background as a custom v3 so the customization can be endless.
Also the transparent setting on the custom v2 it always makes the background black and in this option and the transparent and transparent v2 option there is an outline on the bar slider that looks bad.
Thanks for the add-on and the time you take to read and respond to comments.
> 1. The add-on description says the zoom issue it's a bug and that the bug was fixed Firefox 33 and I'm using firefox 39 so i thought that it should be ok. Regarding that:
The bug with disappearing scrollbars on some zoom levels and the general zoom issue are/were two different things I summarized into one description. Sorry for that.
> 2. Cant you make firefox load a new image when page zoom reaches some number? That way the scrollbar will change size but as soon as it hits a very noticeable point it would get replaced with the new image of the appropriate size.
Something like this is not possible. You can't "detect" the zoom level inside an add-on and even if it would be possible, you can't switch scrollbar appearance without reloading the website.
> 3. Squares and circles are what Firefox can change using one value (border radius, it already part of css), but you requesting to use completely different or own images. Something like this is currently not planned, but might be added in the future.
> 4. Also the transparent setting on the custom v2 it always makes the background black and in this option and the transparent and transparent v2 option there is an outline on the bar slider that looks bad.
Depends on the OS you are using, transparency may or may not work. That option is mainly for Windows AeroGlass UI on WinVista/7.
Developer Edition dark theme Web Developer tools Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Love this extension, but noticed a problem. The Dark theme of the FF developer edition hides the scrollbars in the web developer tools. If you hover your mouse over the scrollbar, then it will display, but you cannot see the scrollbar if you do not hover your mouse over it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
I'm trying to improve scrollbar appearance for developer tools. That area is unfortunately not as customizable as default webpages when using dark theme.
Transparent v1/v2 won't show scroolbars in devtools area.
188.8.131.52 Crashes Pale Moon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I love this add-on and have been using 1.2.1 for a long time. However, trying to update to 184.108.40.206 crashes Pale Moon instantly! I've tried this on a 64-bit machine running Win 7, another Win 7 32-bit computer, and another on XP, all with the same results. Seems to work fine on Firefox. ??? 5 stars for the previous version.
UPDATE: The problem evidently had something to do with improperly signed extensions and extension updates from Mozilla. A new 25.3.2 Pale Moon "emergency update" is supposed to fix the problem, though I no longer see 220.127.116.11 on the site. :)
Developers did not update their add-ons. Signing process was performed by Mozilla automatically, but got reverted later because of some problems with older Fx builds.

This is a top add on, and which I think should be the default scrollbar. I missed the superb Noia 4 theme which ceased to be updated due to FF updates breaking it too often, and found the FT DeepDark theme to be the best replacement, except the vertical scrollbar was too dark and hard to see.
But thank God i came across this scroll bar replacement! It is not only improves visibility but it is a work of beauty! I also appreciate those who make such customizations.

I like to make my scrollbars as minimal as possible, and that is the great thing about this extension, it lets you do everything from the fanciest possible to the simplest.
Lots of customisation options, and very easy to use.
you can install Firefox 31 ESR Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Hello, I am a Japanese people. I have a beautiful idea for avoiding a bug of Firefox 32. As you know, Firefox 32 has a critical bug called "Firefox 32 zoom bug with custom scrollbars". It is also called Bug 1066934 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1066934). If you avoid this bug, you can install Firefox 31 ESR.

Make your own customized scrollbars in Firefox. The default scrollbars which Windows 7 delivers are less than optimal, even if you're not color blind. This program fills that gap by adding a simple but quite a powerful option (!) to change that for Firefox. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
