Threadwing turns long AI conversations into a locally searchable timeline. Find an earlier answer, return to its original message, or save selected exchanges without uploading your chats. The official website provides the current compatibility list.

Find and navigate
Open Timeline from the toolbar. Browse prompts first, expand replies when needed, and search quoted phrases or filter by role, code, formulas, images and files. The result header distinguishes literal matches from matched messages. Source return validates the message identity before highlighting it, including current ChatGPT turn markup. Branch filtering is available when the chat service exposes branch data.

Keep long pages manageable
ChatGPT's native paginated chats start with a conservative recent-exchange window and offer a manual 1–100 exchange window. Unpaginated chats preserve their complete history. Native upward history loading remains available. Page handling respects each service's own scrolling and message layout; available controls vary by service. Earlier content captured by the extension remains accessible in Timeline.

Continue faster on ChatGPT
Very long conversations can spend substantial time preparing history before the first response appears. Continue fast creates a clean new-chat draft containing a bounded exact excerpt of recent context. It never sends automatically and keeps the original local timeline intact. Export Studio can use a custom message selection for the handoff.

Export useful work
Choose all messages, prompts only, answers only or a custom selection. Save Markdown, plain text, structured JSON, a standalone HTML archive or a print/PDF document. Exports preserve available source links, code, tables and formulas. First-party images are included only when selected. On supported web-search results, an explicit export can collect collapsed source links and restore the original collapsed state.

Stay in control
The popup brand opens the official website. Click Check for updates to compare the installed version with the public release from your installation's store. Open the store link to install an available update. Version discovery is independent of the browser's installation-check limit; installation remains browser-managed.

Private by design
Conversation data and the search index stay in extension storage on your device. Threadwing has no account system, conversation backend, analytics, advertising, telemetry or conversation upload. A user-requested public-version lookup contacts a first-party metadata service without sending chat content, cookies or the installed version; details are in the privacy policy.
