Firefox privacy notice — Authenticator Cloud
Local use: authenticator entries and secrets are stored in Firefox extension storage. Code generation, QR decoding, copy/fill and backup operations are performed locally. Registration is not required for local use.
Optional cloud features: before sign-in, Firefox requests consent for authentication information, personal identity information, and financial/payment information. When you use cloud features, our service processes account identity and email, authentication credentials or provider sign-in tokens, Pro entitlement status, sync device metadata, and the authenticator entries you choose to sync, including their secrets and settings. Cloud data is processed by our Cloudflare-hosted service. Google or Apple handles its own sign-in authorization. Payment providers handle checkout when you choose to purchase Pro. Verification email is delivered through Resend.
Optional analytics: Firefox usage analytics are disabled unless you separately grant the technicalAndInteraction data permission. These statistics use a separate random installation identifier and limited app/browser/system metadata, feature categories, outcomes, timestamps and durations. Analytics do not contain authenticator secrets, generated codes, QR images, entry names, email addresses, login tokens, clipboard contents or browsing history. Events are retained for approximately 90 days. Permissions can be managed in Firefox Add-ons Manager.
Network infrastructure may process IP addresses and connection metadata to operate and protect the service. Uninstalling or signing out does not delete cloud account data. For privacy and deletion requests, contact whitecrowdev@gmail.com.
