Hello!
This is an addon that I created for my personal use as I want to be able to use Youtube while I am working/studying without being tempted by short videos. Feel free to use this addon yourself as well if you prefer to be recommended longer form content.

What can YT Shorts Blocker do for you?
  • Hide videos under 4 minutes long
  • Hide all shorts content
  • Disable shorts button
  • Work on mobile and desktop
  • Redirect "/shorts/" to "/watch?v"

What data does YT Shorts Blocker collect?
None! This addon will also only be active when you are on https://www.youtube.com/ or https://m.youtube.com/ unlike similar addons.

This addon does not prevent you from watching any videos, however it will hide recomendations for short videos. Does not hide short videos when searching.

Works on both the desktop and mobile versions of Youtube.

Know Issues
  • Resizing page can hide wrong videos [Desktop]
  • Video previews of hidden videos can be clicked [Mobile]

Note
I do not plan on adding an option to toggle the addon on/off as this would defeat the purpose of using it in the first place.
