I'd like to have a simple file commander that provides the simple and most-used functions and interface of Norton Commander; this is almost there (but not quite). Since this is a XUL package for Mozilla, I'd rather it use the browser as the viewer and editor (CodeMirror at the moment).
Copy Selector is missing from the context menu (possibly the single most-used menu item). UPDATE: After still more research, I find that the Copy Selector tool is installed into DOM Inspector by Stylish (which, if I ever knew, then I must have forgotten). Yet another reason why Stylish is essential.
Thanks mostly, though, for giving me the idea to use the mobile Y! mail UI in the Fx Responsive Design View instead of Yahoo's full-blown webmail page -- it's a lot more "quiet".
you edit the install.rdf and change the max version for the target application (aka Firefox) to something not less than '35.0.1' (or whatever you're running) *AND* you use an add-on that restores a statusbar (so it has a place to put the clock). Good display customization options.
aka "what Mozilla should have done with restart in Australis" (well, they did want to make things more "user-friendly" didn't they? ...right?)
The latest v6 beta hosted at Evernote (go to the Web Clipper forum there) works much better than the old version that AMO has approved (sort of) for hosting here, at least on Fx35 (haven't tried it with older Fx releases). Of course, just because it fixed the problem(s) I was having with the previous beta doesn't mean it'll fix yours. I'd give it 5 stars if they'd implement annotation for Firefox (which they have in other browsers). I'm told that once v6 is out of beta that the feature set will be fairly uniform across all browsers (barring some function(s) not supported by a browser).Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (5.9.1).
Using Puzzle Toolbars, which restores a "shadow" statusbar (while Mozilla still supports it), I've got the Firesizer statusbar text display/button up on my nav-bar (which has plenty of space on it--widescreen). Still, you know Mozilla is going to kill the statusbar eventually...Cet utilisateur a une revue précédente sur ce module.
The Stylish Sidebar Manager is dead (in Stylish 2.x). :( Long live the OmniSidebar Add-ons Sidebar User Styles tab! :) ...doesn't look too different--maybe even better. Thanks!Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (1.5.2).
The toolbar button images need an extra pixel height/width to look "right". The status bar button is gone (w/o using some add-on to bring the bar back), but using the Sidebars List extension gives easier access to the sidebar (and any sidebar for that matter) , not that you couldn't simply use the View menu or the hot-keys. Also, still working fine in Fx35, too. List-it is about the closest thing I've seen to Evernote's old "endless ribbon" for simple note-taking.
All you need; nothing you don't.
(Actual rating: 4 and a half stars -- minus one half for sidebar buttons (padding) being to wide to all fit on default-width sidebar; easy to fix with CSS though.)
Given that Mozilla removed the Bookmarks and History Sidebar toolbar buttons in Fx29, it's good that this still works. Thanks.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (0.2.0).
Australis might just be the dumbest thing yet to come from Mozilla.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (1.1.7).
Essential add-on whether you want to fix the bugs in Firefox related to the Edit Bookmark panel or whether you just want the custom sizing for lots of folders/bookmarks. I had only one small annoyance with it--the default panel [size] would pop-up first before doing a "quick-step" into one's custom sizing. I fixed this by simply adding a little CSS to make the panel the custom size regardless.
The only thing that would make it better is a similar function for scaling the height of the tabs. ;)
Being able to use the space bar for scrolling and next page is nice I guess, but I find using PageDown and PageUp (and Home and End) to be more ergonomic (plus there was this conflict with using the space bar on Google Groups [edit:] which seems to have been resolved by Google having updated the Groups layout since many months ago--so, no more conflict[:edit]). So, I change the shortcut to use PageDown. However, this requires a modifier key be used (shift). Is there a reason why PageDown cannot be used without a modifier? (It's basically the same function as the space bar.) Couldn't you enable PageDown without a modifier? Thanks.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (0.33). No 'Make Scriptlet' menu item for bookmarklets /already in your Bookmarks/. I await further updates.
Being able to create a new scriptlet from the Add-ons Mgr. would be a basic feature--perhaps using Scratchpad (and some already existing bits of code a user might have for execution because certain commands were restricted from bookmarklets [will this add-on remedy that?]).
Mozilla never got around to putting the Address Book in a tab, but this add-on--effectively--does that. Throws in some other useful stuff, too. Very Nice.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (2.0.1).
Actual rating 4.5 stars (for storing data "outside" of Firefox).
May I suggest, instead of having 2 versions--one "regular" and one for Firefox Portable, just have one version with where data is stored being an option (much like other extensions do); or just always store it in the Fx profile folder (or a sub-folder therein, as almost all other extensions do) instead of the user's account folder.
Also, it would be nicer if left-clicking on the toolbar button opened the menu for selecting which clipping to insert (same as context selection) instead of the manager (which you can get to with a right-click).
Would it be possible to limit the randomly generated gallery to a specific category (tag type + tag)? such as landscape? Thanks.
