Good though unfortunately buggy, and it doesn't look like the developer is continuing work on this. I am using Mason instead which works perfectly (and has many additional features)
This extension is simply a must for anyone with multiple Gmail accounts. Features such as auto-login, quick-preview, multi-select and delete or "mark as read" make management a breeze - and all of this without even having to open up a Gmail tab. The interface is clean, simple, easy to read, and navigation is quick & efficient.
So far, I haven't found a single other add-on that does a better job of multiple account management. Every other extension that claims to manage multiple accounts (e.g. "Gmail Notifier restartless"), you need to manually link accounts together yourself in Gmail. Not only that, but as soon as you clear your history or Google cookies, you need to do the whole process again! For someone like me who has 8 accounts - 5 of which I use regularly - this is just not feasible.
Gmail Checker thankfully doesn't suffer from any of these flaws. And before people go giving this a bad rating because suddenly it doesn't work with Google's latest update, keep in mind that there's only one developer working on it, unpaid, and they have a busy life too.
Truly an extension worthy of a 5-star rating.
Not a fan of this add-on. It's clunky, the preview box is slow to navigate; it doesn't manage log-ins.
Gmail Checker was a far, far better add-on IMO. Quick and snappy, auto-login to multiple accounts, you could preview 10 emails from 8 different accounts in the space of 5 seconds. (Handy when you don't have time to sift through them all). Real shame that the developer discontinued it... I would pay to have it back and working.
Only supports 3 accounts which is quite measly. I have 8... 5 of which I use regularly (one for casual use, one for business contacts, one specifically for youtube/google+, one for people/sites that I don't want knowing my regular email, one to manage my parents' email...). So yes, it's not unreasonable to need extra account support.
Simple enough and does the job.
Though I noticed (in Google searches) some generated links return a 404 despite there being an existing & working cache drop-down link. Guess Google is just very finicky about the syntax. Also, might be a good idea to include somewhere in the description that PassiveCache works via the context menu (i.e. right-clicking link or current page). With all the menus, sub-menus, bars, and buttons firefox has nowadays, saves a bit of time searching.
Handy extension though, thanks.
In my opinion, the LavaFox series is the best out there for complete themes. Just looks great and the light-on-dark template makes the text in menus/labels clearer & sharper and easier to read in low-lighting (saves power too). Really adds a touch of class to the Firefox UI. I've tried all the popular themes since Firefox 4 was released but this and 'LavaFox V2' are the only themes I keep returning to. Great work!Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (2.0.8).
Great tool! Been using it for years now. Clear and easy to work with.
If I had one request though, it would be the ability to select multiple cookies at once - handy if using the filter and want to delete cookies from a particular domain, along with its sub-domains.
As a suggestion, this could still be implemented with the current interface by changing the information in the 'Cookie Details' panel so that it reads something like:
"Domain: (Multiple selected)"
"Name: (Multiple selected)"
Any changes to the 'value' or true/false options would then be applied to all selected cookies.
Aside from this, it does everything I want it to. Best cookie tool I've tried, in my opinion!
A fabulous extension with unfortunately one major flaw. It is not compatible with any firefox themes that use a dark template. Basically the text in the editor is in black font regardless of the background colour. I always use a dark theme because I find it easier to read and in my opinion, it just looks better. As such, I have to leave this extension disabled which is a nuisance (only re-enabling in 'emergencies' where I'll temporarily revert the theme to default).
Very sorry! This does work with my current theme LavaFox V2. It must have been fixed in one of the updates. I'm sure I've tried to use it many times in the past and couldn't see the button text, so just assumed nothing had changed since. Apologies!
I changed my rating to 5 stars as deserved. :)
The only change I wouldn't mind is perhaps renaming the directories so they are identifiable (e.g. using the name given when saving), rather than a date-time string.
The button basically copies the URL you're on and takes you to the PrintFriendly website to format/print it. This is good except there is an annoying bug regarding the button itself; where it basically changes its position upon restarting Firefox. If you remove the button from the bar altogether, it magically reappears at the bottom-right of the add-on bar when you restart.
I wouldn't normally post a bug as part of a review except I contacted PrintFriendly and they said they did not produce this add-on and therefore can't fix it (though are apparently working on their own official version).
Continual updates, non-intrusive, easy to use/customize, and detection of over 1000 third-party elements (analytics scripts, tracking cookies etc.). This is an essential add-on for anyone who values their privacy, and makes for the perfect companion to Adblock-Plus.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (18.104.22.168).
Good add-on. Personally, however, I'd prefer if it didn't display a number when there is just the one tab group.
Firefox really just needs something to remind the user when they have CREATED a tab group.
If, like me, you only use multiple tab groups on the odd occasion, it's very easy to forget that you even created one.
As previously mentioned, this article tells you how to edit an add-on's max version.
It's a lot easier than it looks; takes about 30-60 seconds.
1. Download the aarvark add-on
2. Open it with 7-zip (free) or another archiver
3. Extract "install.rdf" and open it in notepad
4. Look for <em:maxVersion> and change the version number to whatever you want.
5. Save and replace it back in the archive
6. Install it in firefox
Almost easier than using Aardvark itself!
Works with any add-on / extension too.
Fan-bloody-tastic! I've been putting off editing my clunky context menu for too long! In my opinion, this extension also makes it a lot simpler to customize menus than MenuManipulator (some of the editing in MM didn't seem to apply correctly either). If you're like me and get sick of seeing huge menu's filled with commands you never use, install this extension!
Excellent extension! Should be built-in. It's nice to have the extra space by disabling the menu bar but who can say the default layout of the Firefox menu is how every user would want it? Thankfully, this takes care of that!Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (5.0.3).
On the functionality side, seems like a very nifty tool though I only installed it today. Having read many of the previous reviews, perhaps it would be an idea to indicate that it is a 30-day trial somewhere a bit more obvious, or even make the lite & pro versions separate extensions? Shame to have so many negative reviews.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (1.1).
I'm using 'Gmail Checker' now; seems to work well enough and it's compatible with Firefox 4.0. Thanks for the work that went into this one though; a very useful extension!
Awesome extension!! So satisfying to have complete control over the ads that dominate the internet. Finally I can browse in peace!Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (1.2.2).
Great thanks. I don't understand why Firefox doesn't include it in the default selection of toolbar buttons.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (0.7.1.4).
