I like this theme, and was interested in seeing the matching wallpaper. But it looks like the link to that is missing?
I really like the old-fashioned, vintage look of this theme with the greenery and pine cones.
My only suggestion would be to make the text a different color, possibly green(?), so you can see bookmarks on the theme background. On my monitor the black text of my bookmarks bar blends right in and you can't read it. (Edit: the bookmark names do light up in white when you hover over them).
Thanks! I don't see a way to reply to you, but do I need to reinstall the theme to see the new text?
Edit: OK, I reinstalled the theme and I see what you mean. The forest green color runs into the greenery and disappears, just as the black text did. Perhaps a tan color would work, or even a lighter green?
Nice sense of movement in this theme.
Serene, tranquil scene with soft colors ... very nice! White text looks good on my monitor, too.
Thanks! Just what I wanted.
Really like this theme! I have a request ...wondered if you'd make a version without Charlie Brown and Linus? Kinda like your "Snoopy Ocean Surf" theme. It looks better with all my bookmarks. :)
I love this theme, but the thin black text of my bookmarks is lost in the pattern. Perhaps making it a different color would fix that issue.
A fresh interpretation of windblown leaves. I think Wind Blowing Tree also would look good in a variant that carries the pale blue color all the way across. The related wallpaper is stunning, too. I'm using it right now!
Where is the developer's email address? He/she appears to be unreachable. This extension broke after the last update and now gives me an error message similar to the one reported by user dxxvi below...[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIFileOutputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://1clickweather/content/js/utils/filemanager.js :: anonymous :: line 315" data: no]
I hope the issue can be corrected soon.
Love the updated green color and fresh new look to this theme. Props to this developer for quickly fixing the issues I emailed him about and sending me the revised theme a short time afterward.Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (1.2).
Kudos to the developer of An iAqua theme for updating it for Firefox 3.5 when the original developer wasn't able to do so. Also, this developer is quick to fix problems like the one in which my Google Toolbar turned black after installing iAqua. He sent me a corrected version and the toolbar blends in with the others now.
The soft colors or iAqua are modern and attractive. Nice work!
Props to the developer of Open in Safari for seeing a problem and writing an extension to solve it ASAP.
I previously used the Safari View extension on Firefox 3.0, but it broke once I upgraded to FF 3.5. It would only work once, then you had to quit Firefox entirely and restart it, which rendered Safari View USELESS! Also, Safari View's developer can't be found and the extension hasn't been updated since July 2008.
I looked around for another extension to replace the same functionality and found Open in Safari. It works perfectly! A simple, elegant solution.
EDIT: I looked around for another extension to replace the functionality of Safari View and found one called Open in Safari which was developed to do exactly what Safari Vew used to. Open in Safari works perfectly with Firefox 3.5. It's available now at
I'm giving Safari View only 1 star because it worked well in Firefox 3.0, but its function is severely compromised since the upgrade to FF 3.5. And, the most current version of this extension says it was last updated JULY 2008!
Since the move to Firefox 3.5, you can use Safari View ONLY ONCE to open a page. After that initial use, you must quit Firefox completely and restart it for Safari View to work again. This kills the functionality of the extension.
Normally, I'd email the developer about the problem. But the support Web site is in an Asian language and seems to require a login to access it, so Google won't translate the site.
It is inexcusable to offer an addon and set up so-called support that can't be accessed.
The neon glow of the icons against the black toolbars is beautiful and striking, but this theme's drop-down menus and text need work. Gray lettering against a dark background is very hard to read. The developer could make all the text white against a black background as in other dark themes. That would turn this nice theme into a great one and make it much more usable.
Just downloaded Gradient xMas. Love the way the icons look like shiny Christmas ball ornaments!
Unlike another reviewer, I really enjoy the falling snowflakes. The only suggestions I'd make is to have the flakes fall more slowly, like real snow, and to theme the toolbar and bookmark menus. That would make it a 5-star theme.
Otherwise, this is a cool, non-traditional Xmas theme.
There are only two Christmas holiday themes compatible with Firefox 3, and only one that is cross-platform for Mac & Windows. I like the appearance of this theme and hope the developer is able to update it for Mac OS X in time for the holiday.
Hi, I'm leaving a message here because the developer's home page doesn't provide a method for contact. Nor can I find anything out from Mozilla forums.
I like the idea of this theme and would love to be able to install it, but I use a Mac. Please consider making it available for us, too!
Hi, I like the idea of this theme and would like to install it, but I have an iMac. Is there a potential for a Macintosh-compatible version to be released in the future?
An elegant, classy theme.
I do have a question/request, and there's no way to email the developer directly from the support page so I'm posting here. I have an iMac running OS X 10.4.11 and I use the Safari View extension, which is the Mac version of IE View Lite.
In other themes I've installed, the Safari View icon renders properly, appearing as the Safari browser icon. In Silvermel, it shows up as "e" for Internet Explorer. Not that big a deal, but it would be nice to have it render as the Safari icon.
Thanks again for your work on this great theme!
This is one of my favorite Firefox 3 themes for my Mac. Colorful and crisp. Far better than Firefox 3's default Mac skin. Plus, this developer works very fast to answer questions and resolve problems. An A+Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (1.2.2).
