Stylish

Awesome addon, but upgrade to beta for now Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This extension is great. I've been using it for several years to make my browser and websites I use often more personal to me, and to create enhancements under the alias "there.is.only..xul" for other people to use.

There is a small problem at the moment with userstyles.org that might be directly related to some fiddling on Mozilla's end which makes this version of the extension incapable of reporting installed status and updating from the website when new commits are released. Resolution as of 12/03/2014 is to upgrade to the latest beta release, available here;
https://userstyles.org/apps/Stylish-2.0.0b4.xpi

Why not the one in the dev channel? Because it hasn't been updated yet and last I recall, b2 lacked error-checking on preview.

If you want a windowed editor instead of it opening in a new tab, go into about:config and set integer "extensions.stylish.editorWindowMode" to 1

Tab Group Bar

Performs as advertised, but lacks some user-friendliness features Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

This addon does one thing, and does it right. But there are some other features i would absolutely love to see inside this very wonderful addon;

- A new tab group button for opening a new blank group
- Drag-and-drop (which would really be a set of functions to open a new tab group, then move the tab in there)
- Drag between groups (Which would really be remove from old group, and move to new group)
- Addon support, for addons like ColorfulTabs and GlassMyFox (Hack it in or get in touch with the developers and request them to add TGB support)
- Integration of tab unloading support (via BarTab Heavy, BarTab Lite, UnloadTabs, SuspendTabs, etc).
- Improved right-click support to show open tabs in a group, for quick access to pages in groups

Aside from that don't really see how else this can be improved. Yeah I know I am asking you to install a lot of hooks for addons but people might want to mix functions together, and this addon can be improved vastly from what it already is, but it's been great work so far.

GlassMyFox

Misses some things Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

I could dive in, inspect the CSS and re-release this as an addon of my own, but I'll leave it to the author to fix; The identity box text isn't modified, notification popup text isn't modified, options dialogs aren't touched either! This makes seeing some things on dark webpages difficult, if not impossible.For that reason alone GMF gets four stars. To make it a five-star application, I made a style for Stylish users to add. Let's hope the author checks out the CSS and makes good these changes. Find it here: http://userstyles.org/styles/93511

ColorfulTabs

Needs post-install tweaking Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

This addon is useful, but required some modification first. There's no option to disable that spacer it comes with in the preferences, and assumes tabs on bottom, even though Firefox's present user direction is tabs on top. The text color setting doesn't stick for me, no matter if the profile is new or not. No option to modify text glow, which may not be ideal for some people's configurations.

Of the useful aspects of this addon, it provides IE9-like tab coloring to make them more visually distinctive. Pretty neat, pretty simple, I just don't know why this addon is still featured if it hasn't been revamped for Firefox 20+. Regardless, I created a local style installable via Stylish which addresses these issues until the author fixes them; http://userstyles.org/styles/93022

TabGroups Manager

Good software, but with no future. Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Let me begin by saying that this is a really good piece of software... back in the day, before Firefox introduce its own tab grouping. Very weird things begin to happen when you use the two systems together to organize tabs; Both Mozilla's and Axel's ways work as intended, but for actual tab management, TGM is no more than a means to view open groups, as that's the only thing it does right in present Firefox builds. It is neat to have a row of tabs that show all active groups. It's also neat that some groups can be put on "Hibernate" to sleep, but that doesn't jive well with Mozilla's default groupings either. And when you want to zoom out and visually see the groups, they all become huddled together in a mass and that's not great at all.

Overall, the software works as intended, if you don't need the tab sorting that exists as of present. The website you could find the software on is dead, so the only latest version is here, with no update to come, and it doesn't play nice with Mozilla's grouping schema. If you don't use that, then this extension might work out for you.

LocationBar² (modified)

One annoyance left in... Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Good effort, but it seems to want to mess with Status-4-Evar's progressbar preferences, making it no matter how I set it, always showing a full location bar instead of progress bar at bottom or top.

TabGroups Manager

Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

I am glad this addon is dying -- While its functionality was great, there is quite a bit that needs to be done with this addon that maybe another developer can take over and create a second revision of it.

Here's the following in my wishlist:
Seamless integration -- I don't need "TGM" in all the tooltips.
CLOSE BUTTONS! No, the "Minus" button to unload and kill a group does not count.
Optionally, color-coded groups, and color-coded Panorama view, with the tabs colored as whatever.
Use theme settings from addons and themes
Some means to indicate activity -- Either by flashing, changing the color of the attention-demanding group or blinking in some fashion or another -- -moz-transition can be used for a smooth-looking strobe effect.

I love this extension, and I find it useful, but it's a bit of a pain to use and manage tabs with. Five starts to the developer that figures out most of the things I ask from a reworked version of this.

Big New Tab Button

It's just CSS, lol Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

Not to knock ya or anything, but this "Addon" is just some CSS code. Might want to keep this as a launching point into other CSS hacks you've concocted @ userstyles.org.
And oh, here's the CSS for those reading this... and yes, it DOES center. Just not in it's add-on form it seems.
.tabs-container > .tabbrowser-arrowscrollbox > .tabs-newtab-button{
-moz-box-flex:100;
-moz-box-pack:start;
width:auto;
}
.tabs-newtab-button > .toolbarbutton-icon{
padding-left:2px;
padding-right:2px;
}

Christ, just modify the install.rdf file yourselves folks! Stop bitching and make it work yourself. :)

You could install Nightly Tester Tools and not have to deal with install.rdf or manifest...

Also, this addon seems out of development. If I want no ads, I'll let Adblock Plus help in killing them.

Stylish

Unlimited (somewhat) power Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I have been using Stylish for a few years now. I remember coding my very first "Serious" style, even though I was not half-serious about it until recently. I started off cutting and pasting, then asking people on forum.userstyles.org. After that I learned the magic of DOM Inspector. Wonderful little tool it is.

I highly recommend this extension just because of the huge base that userstyles.org provides. Also, with DOM Inspector, you can even inspect the browser interface itself by opening it and navigating to chrome://browser/content/browser.xul. If you are into making the browser look... out there, or simply increasing the font size and changing colors for your tired eyes, this is the ticket right here. No need for themes, no need to even really know what you're doing, because you learn as you go the potential of CSS.

Once you actually know what you're doing, and understand DOM Inspector's interface, how to find elements and then integrate them into styles, the power you have in customizing Firefox is truly unlimited... until you can't figure out what you're doing. Even still you still have the userstyles.org forum to ask questions and get what you need from other people, so it's all cool.

As of this writing I am on a profile I have modified to look and act much like a kiosk environment. Along with a few addons, I have limited my interface to just back, stop/reload (Yes! One button! And no need for another extension either!), forward, home, address bar, zoom in/out/reset, the search bar and a close button.

If you want (or need) something similar, I am there.is.only.xul on userstyles.org, look for the style "True Kiosk Mode" and read everything there. Yes, everything.

R-kiosk

Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This was a great solution for my K-9 class. Combine this with NoScript and you have yourself a solution for even the most rowdiest of students.

This also worked well at my Spec Ed facility because it keeps those more pesky students away from key files while still enabling them to browse the web.

Where;s the menu? Pas encore évalué

Y'know, I tried using this, and I cannot find any means of bringing up the menu.

I am using Mozilla Firefox for U3 on my stick drive as well, so that may pose a problem...

Until then, I pass.

Organize Search Engines

What everybody else said. Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

I found this to be the greatest extension ever. This has to be BY FAR the greatest add-on in my collection of extensions because now search isn't as much an eyesore as it was before.

Aside from the occasional hiccup (which this extension seems to do every so often) it is great. I didn't really like the change of interface, seemed a bit foreign at first, but I got use to it. And it works as it should.

Thank you Dr. Evil for this and Add to Search Bar.

Locationbar²

I love this extension, but... Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I would like compatibility with WellRounded too.

I guess compatibility with Fission and this would have to be in WellRounded. But far from the point I'm trying to make.

Now, what I see in this extension is greatness. And lots of it. I can combine this with IE Tab or User Agent Switcher and fall back two levels real fast.

This extension increases productivity somewhat, the breadcrumbs look good and... it just works.

Also, kudos on the Favicon support

Informational Tab

Some quirks. Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

I like the CONCEPT, but what's there isn't exactly what you would expect. It's good, but not good enough, at least in my opinion, to make looking at your tabs for loading info an every day habit.
