Video DownloadHelper

Essential Add-on Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I have been using Video DownloadHelper for quite a few years and it has become even more indispensable with each new development.
On quite a number of occasions it was able to download files from sites that DownThemAll and iTube Studio could not find or download successfully.

Contrary to some previous posters I have had very little problem with this add-on. As for the watermarking... This is a free-to-use add-on and there are plenty of free convertors out there. I have a paid version of iTube Studio and there are quite a few sites that iTube fails on but Video DownloadHelper downloads with no problem.

If you don't want to pay for the full version, don't, but at least quit bellyaching 'cause a free piece software doesn't meet your exacting standards. There are alternatives - paid and free - go use one of them.

This Add-on is definately one that should be included in any list of Firefox essentials :D

Video DownloadHelper

Best all-round download manager around. Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I have been using this addon for a long time and found it simple and easy to use. If there is a video available on a page to d/l this addon will generally find it. Drop-down menu allows you to select various video quality options (if available).
A must-have if you like watching vids offline. Great addon!

Video DownloadHelper

Download Progress box disappears Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

I have been using Video DownloadHelper for quite a few years and have found it to be the simplest and and easiest of all the Managers out there. However, when I updated to 4.9.13, and started a download, much to my surprise, my d/l progress applet flashed on and then disappeared! After much rummaging about in Preferences and about:config without success, So I did as Kevin did in a previous post and rolled back to 4.9.12 and happily, everything is back to normal. I am on Firefox 19.0.I think there is indeed a bug in 4.9.13 regarding the download progress applet. Hope it gets ironed out soon. :)
