Very nice! Works as advertised. Install, refresh the YouTube page, and you're back on the Flash player.
Like many others, I've made the experience that the HTML5 player is terrible. Higher resolutions aren't available, the video and audio quality of the available streams is much poorer, they actually found a way to make it use more system resources than Flash (!), the controls are unresponsive, buffering is excessive, and on current versions of Firefox even the scaling is broken, so simple things like watching a video in fullscreen is impossible as well. I really don't understand how Google and Mozilla can roll out software this unfinished and broken.
I feel sorry for all the less technically-minded people, who have to deal with a completely broken YouTube, and won't find this fix for not knowing (or caring) about stuff like "Flash" and "HTML5".
Thank you for providing this Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
The Australis interface might work better with fat fingers on touchscreen devices (which I suppose was the main reason for its introduction), but it's a clear step backwards in usability for desktop users, especially power users. Thank you very much for providing this great add-on to restore the compactness and functionality that have been removed! It took one Firefox restart, and a bit of toolbar and button rearranging, to get things back the way they were. The elements that it does restore, it seems to restore to a T.
I'd like to stress that I'm not opposed to change in general, and that this is not about looks, but usability. The new menu adds *yet more* steps of indirection than the old Firefox menu (I always wondered how they can claim more and more deeply nested menu structures make stuff easier to access – needing ever more clicks to do the same thing is not easy access!). The tabs, pinned ones in particular, take up a lot more space than before, and the fact that inactive tabs are invisible makes it ever so harder to discern how many, and which ones, are open. Both of these aspects get worse the more tabs you open.
I like some of the other new features that Australis introduced, any many of them you can still include in your interface even when using the Classic Theme Restorer add-on. That's great, and restores some of the customisability that Firefox still claims it values.

Was a nicely integrated way of doing user surveys, and disseminating the results, while it was still being employed by Mozilla. I don't think there's any point in installing this extension anymore – while there has been no official announcement of discontinuation, the last study seems to have been conducted almost 3 years ago (while they used to take place fairly regularly), and the official channels have been dormant since then.Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (188.8.131.52-signed).

A great add-on that is simple to use, a fantastic replacement for Video DownloadHelper, which has failed to keep up with the changes YouTube in particular has undergone this year. This add-on is as easy as point & click for regular users. With a bit of tweaking, you can have it automatically mux video and audio where they are streamed separately (which seems to be the case more and more often), using FFMPEG. Kudos to the developer for a well-written add-on, and for taking the time to listen to users and implement fixes.Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (0.3.1.1-signed).

Thank you so much for this add-on! It's quickly configured and does exactly what it's supposed to, more or less doubling my search performance (or rather, undoing the reduction it experienced at the hands of Firefox 23).
It's getting kind of ridiculous that for almost every major new Firefox release, I have to dig for some configuration key to undo the latest illogical change in behaviour, or find an add-on that restores a comfortable feature that has been removed. But thankfully, there are people like you who do all the hard work for the benefit of all of us. Much respect!
Most helpful add-on for media junkies Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
This Firefox extension is the main reason why I haven't completely switched to Chrome or Opera yet. That alone should tell you how good and useful it is! It's the first extension I add to every new installation of Firefox, because I can't imagine browsing the web without it.
I always archive everything I like, because people on the web are fickle: they like to suddenly remove stuff, or try to deny you access. A site might go down or you may simply no longer be able to find it. Some jokers try to take away your right to watch something again when you're offline or on the go!
The extension does exactly what it's supposed to do, works on an amazing variety of websites, embedding methods and file formats, is unobtrusive but there when you need it. And what's no less important, if you ever *do* have a problem with it, the developer is responsive, accepts bug reports and is actively maintaining the extension.

One of the first extensions I install on every new Firefox I set up. So simple, but so helpful and well-executed! Ads aren't the only annoying things on websites, there's a lot you can't opt to remove automatically. Just select it, and it's gone in two clicks. My two main uses are removing NSFW elements of websites, so you can check out their information without making people suspicious of what you're doing =D — and preparing pages for printing. Most websites' print styles blow, and with Nuke Anything Enhanced you can simply do it yourself. Select the parts you want to print, choose "Remove everything else", and you've got a clean document that you can print. Priceless!Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (184.108.40.206-signed.1-signed).
A lifesaver Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
My gratefulness for this extension grows with every new Firefox version that is released and is even more unstable and freeze-happy than its predecessors. I am using Firefox 14 on all of my systems now (Win7/OSX/Ubuntu), and it isn't jolly how often it will just flat-out freeze, never to recover, during regular use. And you can bet that this is going to happen after you've spent 20 minutes typing out that intricate, insightful, page-long response to some discussion thread. Drat!
Take my advice and install Lazarus, if you haven't already. The best thing about it is that as long as everything works fine, you don't even notice it's there. But next time you lose many minutes of work because of Firefox crashing or some other problem, you'll remember it. And your input is restored in a few seconds. If you're concerned about data protection, it has facilities to not store number fields (i.e. credit card information), and you can opt to encrypt the whole database.
"Lifesaver" might be a hyperbole in most cases. But Lazarus is definitely a timesaver, and it's good at its job. The nerves this thing has spared me, it probably added a couple of months to my lifespan by now.
Very helpful Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
Thank you very much to the author for keeping this extension alive. It's an essential part of my regular browser use. Need to extract a file from a page that is very hard to get to, easily extract something from your cache that has since disappeared from the live web, even do the occasional site rip... there's hardly an easier or quicker way to do it than CacheViewer. If you're more than just a passive surfer, the day when you're grateful to have CacheViewer on board will come!Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (0.8).

This extension grows on you quickly! I have only used it for a couple of weeks, and I really only use the tab grouping and colouring features, but it has quickly proven to be an essential add-on for anyone who works with many tabs. Has some tiny bugs or inconsistencies, but no dealbreakers. If you do many things simultaneously and work with numerous tabs, you *need* this extension.Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (0.5.8).

Extremely nice and helpful extension, one of the few I really couldn't do without. Among other things, it's probably the quickest way of fetching pictures and videos from sites that don't provide direct downloading.Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (0.6).
