One of the great UI features from Chrome that I wanted in Firefox. What's missing are the green (https) and red color coding. A pale yellow URL background for secure sites would also be visually helpful.Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (1.0.3).
Minor quirks, otherwise gorgeous Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
This is gorgeous for the metallic look in Leopard. My only annoyance would be that there's no visual feedback as to which search engine we're using on the top-right. As much as I love the magnifying glass icon, I find it a hassle to have to double check each time for which search engine is in use (especially when there's query text in there).Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (0.9.9.8.1).
Beautiful, but some tiny quirks Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
This is a beautiful skin. It feels very much like Safari. The autocomplete URL dropdown text isn't awkwardly large like the default skin for Firefox 3 (which is a good thing), and everything is overall very clean.
I have to say that, as much as I love the magnifying glass icon, the search bar gives no feedback as to which search engine is in use (as in, no distinct icon shown).
Also, if I were to request a variation of this skin, it would be one with glass buttons on the current metal, just like iTunes 6. (The glass buttons from GrApple Classic and GrApple Pro, FF1.5)
Rounded buttons work nicely Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles
The rounded buttons work nicely. I know there are going to be people who side either with the square-ish and round-ish buttons, but at the least, the round buttons are slightly wider (more clickable area without sacrificing vertical real estate), and somehow the button borders look smoother on the rounder buttons than the ones in Safari. Good job!
A couple minor gripes off the top of my head - the pale yellow URL for secure websites doesn't quite stand out enough. I like the subtle yellow shade, but it barely noticed I was in a secure area. Also, this may not be theme's fault, but the browser is still only draggable via the titlebar.
Clean, customizable IRC client Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles
This IRC client has one of the best interfaces I've seen. It's customizable with its CSS, and the light motif looks great, especially with adjustments to the fonts. Adding tabs to auto-join a server and/or channel on startup is a breeze, and chat logging is easy to set up (and outputs to human readable plain text files). Colors and highlighting make each type of activity very easy to distinguish, and the flashing taskbar button is a great way to keep alert about mentions of your name or any selected keywords for notification.
My only two gripes would be that a.) You can't restart Firefox without restarting Chatzilla, which means that if you want to use Chatzilla uninterrupted, your Firefox memory usage will slowly build up; and b.) the flashing orange taskbar button in Windows is equivalent to a bouncing Firefox icon in the Mac OS X dock, which is a bit less helpful (as it's not immediately clear whether it's about Chatzilla or some other Firefox process grabbing attention). It'd be wonderful if Chatzilla could somehow work with the Growl application or somehow have its own Chatzilla icon representation on the dock.
