Just click the extension icon or the Floating NO COOKIE Button to tweak YouTube links to enhance privacy. It will automatically send you to youtube-nocookie, which is a privacy-enhanced mode of the YouTube embedded player, giving you a smooth, interruption-free experience. This add-on aims to offer a better, faster, and ad-free space for watching YouTube videos. Simply by adding a parameter to the link, the extension takes you to youtube-nocookie, so you can enjoy the content you want without any disruptions.

Important Note:
YouTube made youtube-nocookie to follow the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which is a European Union law about privacy. Because of this, the extension, which simply redirects for you, is unlikely to stop working soon. It also boosts your privacy, even if you didn't request it!

P.S. I originally made this add-on for myself, but I think it's important to share things that can benefit others. As a result, the extension doesn't gather or share any data to prioritize privacy. I believe strongly in maintaining privacy, and I'm against anyone collecting unnecessary data.

In rare cases, after you use the extension, you may see a ‘Video unavailable’ message. The script normally prevents this, but it can’t do anything if the video’s creator has disabled YouTube embedding.

Since Google’s policies are trash, I’ll never pay their US$ 5 developer fee to upload the add‑on to the Chrome Web Store. The add‑on is and will remain exclusive to Firefox and its forks.

-Extension icon click now opens the popup instead of acting immediately; the green‑icon visual feedback remains when an action is triggered, popup has four options:
• NO COOKIE / AD‑FREE green button (same action as before)
• Emergency Alternative red button (uses youtube.com/embed/ when No‑Cookie fails)
• Switch “Open in new tab” to choose between current tab (default) or a new one, while pausing the original tab video;
• Switch “Floating shortcut” adds an optional “NO COOKIE / AD-FREE” button for one-click access, when toggled, reload page button also shows up.

-Removed an unnecessary redirect, significantly improving speed and enhancing privacy;
-Updated to Manifest v3 for "better" security.
