  • Works fine with the new api fix things but it is still annoying that it places itself at the bottom of the thumbnail and moves the playback red bar to the top instead of just placing itself at the top.
Wish there was a setting to reverse them...
  • Ok, it works now.
Thanks for reporting this. I just released an update to address the recent issues, but the extension now requires users to enter a personal YouTube Data API key. Instructions for setting up a free YouTube Data API key, and an explanation for why this is required, can be found here:

  • Thanks for the instructions for adding api key, it works now. Google sure likes making things difficult.

  • Occasionally and unpredictably stops displaying the ratings bars (maybe a YouTube API quota issue per the 0.0.42 release notes?) but this add-on is otherwise very well designed and has no doubt saved me hundreds, if not thousands, of wasted clicks and page loads over the past year or two.

  • When it works, it works flawlessly. However, sometimes, for no apparent reason, it just stops working for a few hours. Unfortunate, but not necessarily within the developer's control.

  • It seems really inconsistent as to whether it wants to work or not. Half the time it works fine, half the time it doesn't work at all.

  • It works, and the essential customization is there. Excellent!
  • I used Ratings Preview for YouTube™ for the longest time; and after a year since its last update, today the extension no longer works—RIP.

Found you, it works —keep up the great work and thanks.
  • Very cool. Thanks man!
