It's a must have. Takes you from efficient browser to tab ninja. I do web dev, and I love the "protect tab" feature which makes selected tabs uncloseable - I make a tab protected and rename it to "site preview", then i go around cms config in other tabs and go back to check the first one. Also, shows percentage of page loaded in the tab and marks new tabs red. Wunderbar.

Ein sehr nützliches Tool ohne das ich mit Firefox kaum noch vorstellen könnte.

Great Add-on that I'm simply lost without now that I'm using Firefox 3b5. Hopefully an update is not too far away.

I love this addon, the freeze tab function comes in handy for me, and the number of customisation options is great.
Note for FF3b5 users: There is a dev build on the TMP website's forum which works for me.

nice, but overdone Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Very well done, but a pain to configure, also not compatible with many other add-ons. I've found, however, that it IS compatible with Faviconize Tabs, although some tab coloring options are not.

Great Addon ... just something to make it perfect ... shift the icon on protecting or locking the tabs to the right cos it covers up the original icon now

Yes, yes, have been using it for a long time, wouldn't like to live without it and so on... I just got an idea, that maybe you could develop the Session Manager by making it load the tabs (when I restore a session) in sets of 10 or so. Like just now I happened to restore 135 tabs (quite crazy...) and if I wouldn't have the Active Stop Button extension to stop all the tabs from loading... well, it would be really annoying.

Excellent Job! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I've been looking for a plug-in to save and restore sessions when I need for way too long (since I ever started to use FireFox two years ago!) .. I simply want to keep multiple browsing sessions but unfortunately the built-in session manager in FireFox can only keep one session which you can't even save (you can only restore at startup but if you choose not to it's gone!)

This plug-in even keeps the browsing history (ie, the sites you visited in the same window so that you can use the back and forward buttons as if you never closed FireFox!) .. guys, you are so incredible!

Dev-build works great with FF3b5 Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Thank you, AndyG, for that link!
I wish I found dev-builds a few months earlier, because I had to give up and revert to FF2.
But now I'm happy again :)))

An absolute must-have. Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This is a top extension - I cannot imagine using Firefox without it. Features that I use include among others: 'single window mode', 'home page in new tabs', 'new tabs from search bar', new/close tab buttons and extra spaces on tab bar, multi-row tab bar, lock/protect tabs, customized context menus. Big thanks to the authors and also to AndyG for providing the URL for a development version for Firefox 3 - I just upgraded my Ubuntu box and was really missing the extension.

Too Big! Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Pro: It has just a few features that would help me out and make life easier.

Other than that, it is too big!

It has so many unnecessary features. Operating it and customizing it is confusing and tedious and takes more time and thought than it is worth.

Another big problem: It conflicts with other add-ons and (slightly) conflicts with Firefox itself.
For instance, it stops the add-on Tab Overflow Scrollbar from functioning and it tampers with the way the add-on Faviconize Tab works.
As for slightly conflicting with Firefox, it forces the user to choose between using Firefox's Session Restore feature or TMP's. If you choose the one supplied by Firefox, you miss out on some the capabilities of TMP's Session Restore feature. If you choose the one made by TMP, then you miss out on a couple things that Firefox would provide. So the user is stuck in a situation that cannot be win-win.

It is not self-explanatory. The average Firefox user has to find out for himself (often through trial and error) what each little feature does, usually with the result of just putting it back to default -- a definite waste of time.

It is reminiscent of Internet Explorer. It doesn't work like most things you find in Firefox. Rather, it feels more like a Microsoft product: there are a lot of options that the user has not heard of before, so he has to go to the help page, which he then finds is not a help "page", but a 50-page Help PDF - with yet MORE terms he'll have to go look up elsewhere.

In contrast, when someone installs Firefox for the first time and they say goodbye to IE, they find that there are a few settings that they can change, but pretty much they don't have to: everything just works great.

A good add-on is one that makes you feel just like you did when you first got Firefox.

Tab Mix Plus does not.

[I used Tab Mix Plus 0.3.6 and Firefox 2.0.0.14]
