I LOVE the Globex Designs GMail and GCalendar redesigned skins....The userstyles.org could really be more user friendly though. More like the Firefox Add-ons site would be nice.

Hi. I love using Stylish, as much as I love using and playing with CSS. I really don't have any negative remarks, other than the question about what CSS version Stylish is working with. The reason I'm asking is because I was trying to implement the usage of variables (see examples below), but all I got was errors. This leads me to believe that Stylish doesn't work with CSS2 specific code.

Example:
@variables {
CorporateLogoBGColor: #fe8d12;
}

div.logoContainer {
background-color: var(CorporateLogoBGColor);
}

I haven't spotted anything else for the moment, but I'm sure there is more CSS that wouldn't work in Stylish. Will the above and whatever else be implemented?

CSS Support

Stylish hands the CSS off to Firefox, so whatever Firefox supports, Stylish supports.

Firefox 3.6

It should work just fine in Firefox 3.6. If you're having problems, please ask a question on forum.userstyles.org.

I have been using Stylish for a really long time on several versions of FF (since 2), including all the newer ones, and it runs rock solid. Its extremely useful, very easy and convenient to use, stable, and well developed.
I am a programmer and computer engineer (on Windows, Linus, Mac, and Novell [since 1980]), so you know this opinion isn;t coming from someone lacking at least basic PC knowledge. To berate the author (for an excellent and long-time extremely popular and FREE utility) because of a lack of posting a change-log or you could not get it working is parochial at best.
I would recommend (any)one learn how to search/scan the page [and/or google] for help, or use the link to email an author asking him/her a question if you need more info.

BTW, the author posts Release Notes at the bottom of this page ;^)

Thanks for your excellent work on Stylish, Jason, and sharing it with the community. You deserve nothing less than 5 stars.

We don't know what's new. Currently, there are only big corporations or malware which don't let their users know what's new, now also FF add-on writers follow this trend.

New in 1.0.8

In Stylish 1.0.8, you can now right-click on a group of styles to perform an action (delete, disable, etc.). There are also some bug fixes and new translations.

Release notes

There was a problem with this site when I uploaded a new version, and it didn't ask for release notes. They are now posted.

Incompetent programming. Had to uninstall firefox and clean the registry since it was stacking themes on top of each other, and referring to the "Stylish" button is a joke of some kind, since it does not exist. Malware. Avoid.

Stylish button

The Stylish button is in the status bar, in the lower-right of the Firefox window. You can also access Stylish view Tools, Add-ons, User Styles.

If you want to disable Stylish, you just disable it like any other Firefox add-on, in Tools, Add-ons, Extensions. There is no need to edit the registry or uninstall Firefox.

Stylish has become a must-have along with AdBlock, Firebug, and the Grapple Delicious theme!

Now i'm going to have to brush up on my CSS skills!

for a while when i selected an addon, a theme, a plugin-even the search page; it'll only resize my selection and be missing the usual blue highlight. for the subscriptions and userscripts listings, it would be ok but the rest..can hardly tell if anything was even clicked.

i disabled this addon and restarted my browser. sure enough, all had it again.

anyone know how i can re-enable it for all of them?

also, is there an option for disabling/enabling a script on select pages but leaving as is on the rest?

thank you for reading and sorry to bother you.

Enabling a script for certain pages

Yes, there is a way to make styles only apply to certain pages with @-moz-document rules. Try asking on forum.userstyles.org for more info.

Very nice! I came looking for a way to reload site-specific CSS modifications (i.e. userContent.css) without restarting Firefox. Stylish provides that, plus a much better mechanism for organizing the CSS mods - placing them in separate "styles" and allowing me to enable/disable them individually. Thumbs up!
