The upgrade must have been designed by some computer nerd sitting at their computer in their mama's basement.

I uninstalled it.

I don't know why so many people aren't liking this new update. I think that it looks fine... that might be because I'm using all in one sidebar's autohide function, but really, it's not all that bad. I like the new viewing options, and the fact that when you remove something from your list, it crosses out instead of disappearing after a while until you close the list. Smart idea!
Really, I see nothing wrong with the new list. I used the scrollable page to begin with, so I've never had problems with going to the next page in the list.

I do think that the address bar icon should go back to being a check mark, though. It looked better in my opinion.

Oh! And I'm also glad it doesn't store on Firefox anymore--I've wanted that feature from the start!

Recent update is a downgrade Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

This addon was great how it was before this recent update.
After updating, my right click context menu save is gone, my list is not the same, the icon is ugly, and when you scroll through pages, the page size is not the same each time.
I used to be able to click next continuously and not have to move my mouse when a new page opened, now the page changes size and scrolling is alot slower. The UI also looks generic compared to previous version. Hopefully you guys will change this back to how it was.

Unfortunately, this update seems like a step backwards.
2.0.0/1 looks visually much worse than older versions. The compacted list is nowhere near as compact as the previous version's and although the sidebar's UI at the top is less cluttered and saves space, the extra spacing between the entries completely counteracts this change. So much for me hoping to be able to view more on one page without scrolling.

The new icon isn't aweful, but what is it? The tick mark should have been kept next to the ''add favourite' button.

The popup entry management icons are fairly decent, but there really should be an option to disable the text only one. I preferred having a solid icon to mark things as 'read' in older versions, none of this flashy popup stuff.

Annoyingly, the age of entries appears to have also gone completely,

Well, the functionality is still good. I don't use the addon for much more than a 'read it later' list, so the google and syncing things aren't that interesting to me.

Also, for some reason I'm unable to have a 'favourites' icon on my toolbar while the read it later one is on there. I have no idea why, but it was fine before the upgrade.

Overall, it's a good addon, but the visual changes weren't particularly inspired. Storage of the list outside of bookmarks is a good feature though.

RiL is really great addon.
Unfortunatly RiL grown up and sometimes we can be sorry that old's one disappear.
However, 2.0.1 not too bad (2.0.0 was really awful), but 0.9.x was nearly better for me.
RiL stay a must have ! Support is remarkable !

Very useful Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Please bring back the "+" icon from 2.0 beta. This yellow boomerang looks stupid.
Otherwise, love the extension. I didn't use 0.9 so I can't compare but I don't need Xmarks synchonization. Now I just need to wait for a Windows Mobile reader app.

A BIG mistake changing what was NOT broken Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

This was a wonderful ext. Can't say the same regarding Ver 2.0. It's a disaster plus the directions to go back don't remain since FF automatically upgrades to the new version. Have removed this mess. Hopefully someone can bring back the old version for good.

For all those who (like me) find the new version AWFUL: the instructions on how to downgrade properly can be found here: http://www.ideashower.com/support/read-it-later/how-to-downgrade-from-20-to-09/

If you don't downgrade properly RIL will break. In my case, after a first improper downgrade and a later proper downgrade, the button was gone. Got it back by also resetting in about:config the entry "isreaditlater.added_to_toolbar" (rightclick > "Reset). Button appeared in navigation toolbar again.

Was perfect, now is almost perfect Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

Hello! I can see that many people say that new v2.0 is terrible and awful. IMHO it's not so bad. New interface is clean and easy to use. Different reading list is good way to separate saved pages into some categories.

But creators of Read It Later do one mistake: they forced new features on us - users - without possibility to choose between old features and new ones. Sync is perfect for someone that is not using Xmarks. I would like to use both RIL sync and saving in FF bookmarks. It gives us more possibilities. RIL was published just too early, it has some bugs (messed order of my saved bookmarks) and lacks features we are used to.

Anyway, still waiting for v2.x for new features!

New version is awful. I WANT xmarks to sync my readitlater stuff. I want the pages i mark to be included in firefox bookmarks.

Went back to old version and now the old version doesn't work.

v2.0 is terrible, previous version was great.
This is another example of a once great extension suffering from feature bloat.

Problem Here Guys Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

*The new version rearranged my Read It Later bookmarks completely out of order...all 31 pages of them...it even shows my oldest bookmarks as my newest on the first 3 pages
*Loved this add-on before this train wreck
*The new features are of no benefit or an improvement for me
*I actually preferred the Read It Later bookmarks to sync thru X-Marks rather than thru Read It Later
